Composer Nate's LILMOOKIE'S stolen ORIGINAL "HOW TO SE" GUIDE!
What is all this here?:
+
Good Question. As you may have realized by now, SE isn't the most user friendly site, is it. Many an SEer has been lost to the page of death (AKA post #0)... but their suffering need not be in vain. I have stolen from collaborated with some of the very finest minds of SE to bring you (my new best friend) copy-n-paste SE HTML. Now you can live life in style like many a fine and dandy SE "veteran" user. That's right friend, here are the proverbial keys for good ol' SE. Have fun.
P.S. If you think that there are any profiles that have handy tricks, or I should include something I might have missed and might be nice to have on here, please feel free to PM me!

How to place visible HTML in your profile without it turning to code...
+1)Paste the HTML you want to have people copy.
2)Replace all < with & l t ;no spaces between bold characters.
3)Replace all > with & g t ; no spaces between bold characters.
i.e. The & l t ; b & g t ; in your profile editing box is now visible as <b> at the top of your profile once you submit it.
Please note: Regarding the Edit Box in your profile... ALL the visible HTML you just made in your profile will turn back into HTML code within the edit box of your newly updated profile... As such, I recommend keeping an external backup handy. I email myself a copy and paste version using Gmail (BEFORE I hit submit and all the & l t ; type stuffs are converted to HTML) .

I have a cat...or, more accurately, my wife has a cat.
After 5 years of cleaning up cat vomit and cleaning the litterbox, if I ran across a story about cat torture...
I'd probably start masturbating.

People on school boards tend to be parents, and parents are fucking obsessive. There's no obscenity or horror a parent would not happily perform for the safety and happiness of their crotch-droppings. Man, I've fucking seen it. Have a child, and all reason goes out the window in favor of this brand-new resource sponge.

"a boy first sees porn today is 11" Ooh, big deal. Kids younger than that used to sleep in the same bed as their boning parents in their one-room cabin back in the day.

They want to achieve something extraordinary, whether that is becoming famous, saving lives or having interesting "adventures" etc. The eventual "settling down" that occurs when people get real jobs, their own places, marry, etc. feels an awful lot like "giving up" - setting their lives on rails, and abandoning a shot at something that might have given them a life they were proud of.

Yah I'm not really sure that the gay community is all that glad to have him. He's basically been working to help oppress them for years. Are people really willing to forgive and forget?

Sweetness and Power: The Place of Sugar in Modern History
by Sidney W. Mintz
(A riveting novel about the role of sugar both economically, nutritionally, and socially in the industrialized world, and the trade triangle between Europe/Africa/the Caribbean/America. It's a little dry at times, but the insights are facinating.)
Against the Gods- The remarkable story of risk
by Peter L. Bernstein
(There is an excellent history of math and rationalization here. Some really interesting tidbits here about the origin of surveys and the words "Hazard" and "algorithm" etc)
Warriors of God- Richard the Lion-heart and Saladin in the Third Crusade
by James Reston, Jr.
(A very human telling of the crusades, especially correspondence between Richard and Saladin. Has a lot of gossip too. Good reread value.)
How to Read a Financial Report:
For Managers, Entrepreneurs, Lenders, Lawyers, and Investors
by John A. Tracy
(A solid, easily understood, well written primer on understanding financial reports. Quite demystifying. Emphasis on understandability.)
