Most of the gypsies didn't survive. And the Jehovah's Witnesses were most often taken as adults. If you were 20 in 1945 you'd be 87 now, in order to qualify for this you'd have to have been quite young. There are, for example, no survivor pink triangle wearers, partly because they were prioritised for medical experiments, but also because that group wasn't targeted when they were children. |

Sure. But who remembers the people killed by the Mongol invasion of everywhere their horses would carry them. Or the Armenians. Or even Rawanda. And Wiesel himself doesn't seem all that interested in the millions of Ukrainains deliberately starved to death by the Soviets, and then the Nazis, and then the Soviets again. We are pretty comfortable with killing twice. |
