Also the least necessary ones, given that you can get the same effect by playing back the original audio, and displaying the translation as a subtitle. As a bonus, you can display subtitles in more than one language at the same time. |

I think it's worth noting that this demo does not involve any advance in the core issues of universal translation: recognizing the meaning of the words themselves and finding an appropriate way of expressing that meaning in another language. This is just about getting the output to sound more like your voice saying it. |

and if that fails, the ability to fabricate an equivalent metaphor on the spot as the context deems necessary. that's often what they're doing when they pause. |
