It's a good flick, it's just very little of it that's "hammer-wielding badass beats up thugs". So it's probably best if you don't go in expecting two hours of just that. |

I think the story was Japanese, it was based off a manga but I havn't read it yet. Good movie tho. |

This is spot-on, unless you have interests in the areas of dialog, character development, plot, atmosphere, cinematography, or discussion of certain themes (that I can't go into without ruining the movie) in which case Oldboy is an excellent film. But if all you like is gratuitous fight scenes, definitely stick with Youtube clips. |

Oh please. The characters were paper-thin, their motivations were laughable, and the "twist" at the end was completely idiotic and contrived. |

They should just let Eastwood direct the movie. I hate to say this, but Clint Eastwood has better directorial chops than Spike Lee ever wished he could. |

This is by the same guy who did that smooth jazz version of Enter Sandman. I like his stuff. He also does metal versions of acts such as Bee Gees and Lady Gaga. |
