The max number of people on site is 50 according to a reliable report-- because it was Sunday. And there will be survivors. Hopefully lots. So max dead is 50. That's about the number killed in a single office building during the Haiti earthquake. I am not trying to minimize this event but "mass casualties" is sort of a silly way to describe it. |

A lot of people live nearby apparently. They're reporting as many as 250 injured. If so, that would qualify as 'mass casualties'. |

Keep in mind that "casualty" is a military term meaning "persons lost to military service." It covers both dead and injured. "Mass" is a reasonable descriptor for 50-250 people in a 1st-world nation. |

Is it not worse to lose 50 working people then it is to lose 50 that have no jobs and are not even seeking jobs? Just saying. Will Haiti help any other country that has need? Or will it just keep sucking at the teat and using excuses? Chances are alot of these workers that died or were hurt did donate to Haiti, will their family in turn receive aid for the familys of the dead? |

Is Haiti even capable of helping any other country at this time, other than serving as an example? |

Next up, dietcoke's master plan to make anyone who has ever gotten a meal from a soup kitchen required by law to work on a collective farm so that the meals they were given can be repaid in full. |
