WELCOME BACK TO RECREATION UNIT 7734.
[mafia game] [by -_-@8:25pmGMT] [+9 Good] EVERY ROLE ASSIGNMENT WAS RANDOM. THERE WERE OCCASIONALLY WORDS IN WHITE FONT IN THE NARRATION WHICH NETTED THE OBSERVANT PLAYERS SPECIAL EQUIPMENT. MY MAIN INTEREST IN RUNNING SUCH A LARGE GAME WAS TO TRY TO MAKE PLAYERS TWITCHY WITH PARANOIA ... SOME OF YOU (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) DEFINITELY FELL INTO THAT DESCRIPTION. I HAD A LOT OF FUN RUNNING THIS GAME, I HOWLED WITH LAUGHTER MANY A TIME WATCHING ALL THE SHENANIGANS FROM "BACK STAGE". There never really was an Anarchist. The Computer isn't exactly sane ;D Entanglers could be used to target two people to entangle but everyone who used one only thought to target one person and thus got entangled with their target. The Schrodinger Device had 29 potential effects as listed in the Dead Group post about it. The Timebombs moved a person 1-4 periods in the future but who they moved (target or user) was up to random.org Mutagene caused people to get additional mutations/roles. Sloooooooooow was a drug that gave a person double night actions. The Eldritch Horrors that 3bop started TLC knitting had no actual effects/abilities. foglai, Hito, daffyduck, and 3bop were amazingly hard to kill :D Players in the Sim were rewarded for actions/comments deemed "most loyal" by the Computer. Six-Packs in the Sim were rewarded for best coordinated action. My only regret (other than flubbing brat#3's killing of taiga) is that the Schrodinger Devices didn't cause the Eldritch Horror to come to life as an SK controlled by the dead players. Check out my idea for a "capture the flag" version of Mafia in the Death Is Freedom google group .... we should give that a try sometime ;) |

Yep. See here and here. I hoped they worked, but I suspected that they didn't and planned for it. My only regret is that I wasn't able to "investigate" RoboRonnie earlier when it would have made more of a difference. Of course knowing how tricksy -_- is, I threw a lot of chaff into what I let him know about my plans to reduce the risk he'd get creative on me ;) I do think I mentioned to him at one point how much fun it was trying to game everybody. |
