quote [ On the internet Van der Ende found pictures of cars that had an interesting perspective. These images he altered on the computer with Photoshop, after which he used an overheadprojector to place the contours of the sides on large sheets of triplex. By plotting the vanishing point of the image on the wall of his workspace with some rope, he was able to build a perspectively correct framework. ]
Not three dimensional. Not painted. Art, uh, objects of awesomeness.

This guy's work is kick-ass but the website is doing him no favours. These objects need to be seen in context to be appreciated. |

Agreed. The photography is terrible. It doesn't capture the greatness of the art at all. |

Very true. In fact, it took me a bit of searching to understand I was looking at 2d scrap representations. The picture of the cassette tapes especially looked more like some silly photoshoppery than anything real. Which might have been part of the appeal. |

Yes. He once made 3d models of submarines. Tried a car and thought it very tedious. Had the idea to project an image of a 3d object on a flat surface. Basically tracing with a lightbox, and he threw jigsawing found colored wood patching in for a look/level of detail. As I understand it. |
