quote [ The violence that began on Saturday night, was the worst Greece has seen in decades, with rioting in the capital, Athens, Greece's second largest city, Thessaloniki, and as far as away as Crete. There were even incidents in London, where about 30 demonstrators seized and burned the national flag at the Greek embassy in Holland Park. ]
I was not aware of so much pent up anger in Greece.

"While unemployment, at 8%, is not intolerable, joblessness among the younger generation - especially those aged 20 to 25 - is especially high, with many barely surviving on €500 (£430) a month." There's the problem. |

Good, we should all react this way when cops kill. I hope they find the bastard. |

He hasn't run away; he's been arrested. But you're nuts anyway - How many people get shot by the police every year? |

Too many, and far too often they aren't held accountable. I'm glad they are in this case, but somehow I doubt they would be without this sort of response. |

Maybe so - depends where you live, but we don't normally riot about it unless there's something else really seriously wrong. |

In Greece, there are riots and trials. Outside Greece there aren't usually riots, but neither are there usually trials for cop killers. |
