Sensible Omens Day 01

quote [ It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people. ]

And so it begins

Day 01: 2008 - Saturday

Saturday raised it's weary head on Lower Tadfield at precisely 7:08AM. Originally it had been scheduled to rise at no later than 7:07:30AM, but it was feeling a bit under the weather this week due to a fight with Tuesday.* On that near perfect morning, the people all gathered in the local courthouse for their weekly civic meeting.

Everyone from the town was accounted for. Here follows the minutes from that meeting.

8am - Mayor Smythe calls the meeting to order
8:01-8:15 - The previous meetings minutes are read
8:16 - Mayor Smythe reads the days agenda: Discuss influx of "weirdos" into town.
8:20 - Mayor Smythe opens the agenda for discussion.
8:22 - Mrs Pretre says she spoke with the "weirdos" and they mentioned they were here looking for an anti-Christ. Goes on to insist they were very lovely people with excellent manners.
8:24 - Mr Handover, Ms Crossarm, and Miss Churchwell all agree with Mrs Petre's findings.
8:37 - Ms. Custer makes a point that she doesn't want any one moving into the hamlet that is not "like us".**
8:39 - More discussion about the weirdos. Note here: Mr Campbell is sleeping in the corner.
8:47 - It is decided by unanimous vote that there is no anti-Christ here and that we will find all the weirdos and hang them.
8:52 - Mayor Smythe thanks Mrs Badcrumble for bringing in the finger cakes and dismisses the meeting.

The townspeople file out of the courthouse, off to their weekend merriment. But each one is now keeping an eye out any mischievous behavior. And with that, the day begins.

*Tuesday had insinuated that Saturday's mother may have had extramarital relations with Thursday. It simply wasn't true. She'd had them with Monday.

**This was Susan, the local closet racist. Only she wasn't aware of her being in the closet. As a matter of fact, she had an adverse reaction to closets. Trauma from her childhood. She actually hung her clothes on her curtain rods, using them to block her windows.

Oh, I wouldn't want to charge people for the spectacle of leather bikini and baby bonnet day, tis an institution in this town and my mam and her mam before her never saw fit to take monies for it. Tis devilish again to bring Godless commerce to play on a sacred town occasion!

Let it not be said I would ever be the type to extort a penny from my fellows for displaying what the lord has seen fit to grant me ;)
juju said @ 3:45am GMT on 24th Aug
Ah, but they aren't paying for the outfits, that's free as nature intended.

They'd be paying for the tickle fight. Looks are free, but a show is a show, and should be treated accordingly.
After all, if we went about with tickle fights all day for no other reason than tittilating our fellow townspeople that would be a sign of devilishness. We'd be instilling the idea that lust should be fostered in the souls of men. But if we charge, it becomes art.

I don't mind taking the money of those who may be "weirdos" in their heart, so that I may put their money to more wholesome uses. Like new fuzzy undergarments for "screw PETA" Tuesdays.

You realise that it wouldn't actually make anything easier, right?
Anyone could step forward and claim to be the anti-Christ to gain protection and favour from a team.
And then even if it was the anti-Christ that stepped forward, all manner of things could result in making it more convoluted, like both "mafia" groups going for him at the same time.

Do you think Bodnoirbabe is fucking stupid? I didn't want to go into this because it's "meta" but seeing as you're going there it makes sense for her to give 'noise an "interesting" role to make up for not noticing him volunteering in the first place. My "reasoning" is that interesting probably means bad for town.

Of course, this reasoning may just be contrived to support the fact that I think it's funny to vote for him after he just managed to squeeze in.

2. With more than 48 hrs left, Penisinface is hardly a lock for the lynch.
radioelectric said @ 1:57am GMT on 24th Aug
1. Because it'd make him the golden child! He'd obviously be clean which gives us extra info. If I were running the game I'd give him a role.

I do agree though that there are certain roles that he can't be. My reasoning was only a veneer over the amusement I got out of voting for him in the first place. I'm going for penisinface now. But before I leave you'll notice that I changed my vote to penisinface because he voted for me. A far better reason ;)
sythe said @ 2:12am GMT on 24th Aug
He's the obvious choice for a first night recruit since he can't be a horseman, or the serial killer, or part of either cult. He's a confirmed town-friendly until the cult(s) touch(es) him, no matter how you look at it, special role or no.

Recruiting and odds:

Chance of recruiting killing your sargeant/superior:
theSinisterMushroom said @ 4:23pm GMT on 24th Aug
(assuming 7 baddies)
First night
- if no lynch: 7/50 (0.15)
- if lynch: 7/49
- if double lynch: 7/48
- etc

Second night gets more complicated. Assuming successful recruitments -- and no baddie deaths at night, and no townie kills at night -- it seems counterproductive right now (probability wise):

- two one-person lynches: 9/48
- two two-person lynches: 9/46 (0.19) -- 20% !!

Not sure what this means -- do we want to go for triple lynches right now while we have the population advantage? It seems that day lynching might be unpredictable, so we'd want to have inter-group killings as much as possible.

On another note, is anyone really going to refuse being inducted?
sythe said @ 4:34pm GMT on 24th Aug
9 baddies to start
2 of each cult = 4
+ 4 horsemen
+ sK

Notable is the fact that none of the three groups will know who the other groups are and will want them dead. So, really, it's more like:
2/50 vs. 2/50 vs 4/50 vs. 1/50

Statistically we stand a better chance of hitting one of them than they do of hitting each other (for now at least).
theSinisterMushroom said @ 5:23pm GMT on 24th Aug
right. I forgot they won't hit each other, and for some reason thought there are 7 baddies. These things cancel each other out though. Doh!

first day, chance of us lynching a baddie:
9 / 50 -- 0.18

first night, sergeant tries to recruit. Chance of hitting a hostile:
(9 - 2) / (people left) -- assuming we don't lynch a baddie. There would have to be 39 people left for them to have a .18 chance of offing each other. -- but that die gets rolled twice, once for each group. And this is just for recruiting, it gets rolled twice more if they try to kill!

Tell me if I've miscalculated somewhere.

You know what, I want to model this situation. See what's optimal in terms of lynchings. I'll get back to you.

I will speak now.

Recently we've seen the coming of three groups of weirdos to Lower Tadfield. One

has been holding sacrilegious services at night in our local chapel. I remember the vicar

telling me that last saturday morning the carpet was covered in black candle wax. A

second group is apparently responsible for the recent soiling of our streets with horse

dung. Beyond being unsightly, these slippery piles are a hazard for those in cars or on

bicycles! Following this group also implies that they're responsible for the recent purchasing of "national newspapers". We all know that this interest in world affairs cannot be healthy. Thirdly, somebody has been spying on our villagers. The inexpert nature of this

espionage, leaving scotch egg wrappers and newspaper clippings ruffling in the wind,

implies some vigilante do-gooders are about. It goes without saying that people

rarely do so much harm as when they're trying to do the right thing.

So, what is the point of this lengthy speech? Well apparently I am accused of belonging to one of these groups! The reasoning behind this? My being suspicious of the newest arrival in our village, eskimonoise. Have we forgotten who we are? Who is most likely to be responsible for this madness but an interloper, a... foreigner. It has been brought to my attention however that the principal of these recent abberations in our community were committed before his arrival, a point I concede gratefully.

(I was gonna write more but I'm off to the zoo now chaps, farewell)

If there's a 3 way lynch, I'd be willing to bet against you.

One, because the scum teams are very small. The horsemen (the biggest scum group right now) don't even know about each other, so they can't really protect themselves.

Two because as we discussed earlier, the probability of lynching 3 people and hitting no scum whatsoever is 41/50 * 40/49 * 39/48 ~~ 0.543. About even money.

Honestly, I don't know what to say anymore, it looks like the town is doomed anyways. If the cults get some special roles, they might end up dominating. Hopefully we'll have those special roles for a night or two to get us some info.

No, this triple lynch nonsense is only going to kill innocents and people who aren't actively playing .. there's practically no chance of it taking out anyone with a night action to stay alive for.
-_- said @ 6:02pm GMT on 25th Aug
Since the Horsemen will actively be working to keep either cult from winning I'd say they are on the towns side ... wouldn't you?
Nonetheless the role of townies seems to be "recruiting pool" for the cults.
I'd not be surprised at all to see this game come down to two cults and the horsemen with maybe one or two townies wandering about free.
I'm thinking that perhaps this game isn't so much about whether the town can win or not so much as it's about which cult will win or if the horsemen can maintain the balance until Day 10.

We won't be able to lynch anyone from either cult in a multiple lynch because it takes only one vote to change it to a single lynch ... so I think were wasting our time with this multi-lynch-Day1 nonsense as we'll only kill complete innocents, horsemen (the strongest "pro-town/ant-cult" group), or by the slimmest of chances the SK.
And we're just increasing the odds of the SC getting killed.

Nope, it's best to lynch only one person on Day 1 ... but I always say that don't I?

I don't get it. I hate to be pushy, but we have way more people than they do. If we're on the ball, we can switch people the opposite way. Also, any last minute switches will be uber-suspicious, like you said.

The only people who seriously want as few lynches as possible are the horsemen.

Last minute switches to prevent a triple lynch, especially if made by a person who is not to be lynched (and thus should have nothing to gain, except to probably save a teammate -- and since the only teams right now are weirdos, that would be damning).

This holds since the town consensus seems to be double lynch or better.

theSinisterMushroom said @ 10:40pm GMT on 25th Aug
Ok, I'm very vocal about this 3-way lynch, maybe misguided too. But I believe you can see the consensus in the voting.

Also, there is some logic to my method. If you weren't on the chopping block, wouldn't you agree? If not, tell me why. I've been known to change my mind. (See the let's not kill anyone on the first day thing). Plus we can try for a record! N-way lynch!!
radioelectric said @ 10:55pm GMT on 25th Aug
Even if I were on the chopping block I wouldn't want to see so many people go on the first day, we don't even have any real leads yet apart from what people are saying (which is why the target falls on you).

This scattergun approach at hitting as many people as possible, based merely on who has pulled ahead in the entirely arbritrary first few votes, seems foolish. We've got a golden-haired landmine out there that will detonate if we lynch him... not good! Also, our chances of hitting a weirdo will never be as low as they are now.

People are talking about killing as many as possible for maximum information (rather than the "kill 'em all, let God sort it out" argument) but I don't see how we'd get much meaning from the people who are currently up. Neither me, nor Penisinface, nor Deadbob have anybody defending us. Therefore even if one of the other two (how dare you besmirch my name!?) turned out to be a weirdo we'd have no intelligence on who to whack next.

I'll take the day 1 lynch as a necessary evil to keep the playing field even, but as I said earlier. We'll never be in such a poor position as we are now.

theSinisterMushroom said @ 11:11pm GMT on 25th Aug
Ok, that's very good logic, I admit that. My actions seem a bit suspicious in that light, but I am not the serial killer.

Even if multiple lynches benefit him though, I'd rather the town be against the serial killer than against two cults. In these few starting days do we have any chance of stopping one or both of the cults completely. After day 4, according to my (advanced) calculations, they might reach 4-5 people. Try to stop them then.
radioelectric said @ 11:17pm GMT on 25th Aug

With the small bad guy groups and the ability for those groups to recruit and the largest of the bad groups (the horsemen) not even knowing each other yet to communicate, and early on multi-lynch might be our best chance at getting a bad guy before they gain an even bigger advantage.

KingPellinore said @ 3:18pm GMT on 25th Aug
Well, shrooms math would be good, if it weren't for the fact that not all voters are non-baised. If all voters had no information going into the vote, then it might be a good idea to multi-lynch.

However, we have groups who have more information than we do. They can influence the vote toward people who aren't among their group, thus lowering our chances of lynching a group member and raising our chances of lynching a townie.

Multi Lynches without significant data are bad ideas.
RedRiverRat said @ 4:44pm GMT on 25th Aug
It's my understanding that there is no 'weirdo' group larger than 2 on Day 1. So they can't really raise a true campaign against (or for) anyone. The baddies have the advantage of special powers. The townies have numbers. If we kill three people, take out 1 baddie and 2 townies then I think its a success.

KingPellinore said @ 7:18pm GMT on 25th Aug
You're lneglecting this:

The small numbers of informed "baddies" make it even more likely that we will only lynch an innocent. If the baddies had larger numbers, they might consider sacrificing a member to give the other members some cred later in the game, i.e. "I'm not bad! I voted for "X" on Day One!". No group will be willing to sacrifice any of its few members so early in the game, making it almost guaranteed that group members will change their votes to protect their own. When you consider this, the probability of a multi-lynch actually resulting in the killing of a baddie approaches zero.

It is better that we are unified enough in our voting at this time to at least have some chance of preventing the groups's information advantage from wielding too much sway.

"neglecting"
radioelectric said @ 8:24pm GMT on 25th Aug
The only people who can be sure they're lynching the "right" 3 people are culties, plain and simple. Obviously we're in a situation where bad guys have seen 3 people who aren't in their group pull ahead and, having decided that these people are not members of their kooky club, are hoping to eliminate them all.

Of course it's then easy for other people to hop on the triple-lynch bandwagon just because it seems dramatic, when it's prudence we should be practising at the moment. (/Gordon Brown)
theSinisterMushroom said @ 11:22pm GMT on 25th Aug
Ok, I'll step off the multi-lynch pedal, but realize then that the game is lost for us. Once the horsemen unite, and the cults reach 5 people each, you won't see any more multi-lynches.

Since the cults can grow, and since I guarantee that the cults/horsemen will do anything to stop a multi-lynch, the town is doomed.

I agree, killing 3 potentially innocent people is very distasteful, but I think the odds would be better for us.

Also, right now I'm pretty much confirmed townie (or serial killer if you believe face) and very much unrecruitable. Nobody would want this hot potato on their team. Since I can't get recruited, I would desperately want the town to win.
radioelectric said @ 11:38pm GMT on 25th Aug
I think you're ignoring that the cults and the horseman can't communicate between each other. Either way, lynching with precision against targets we have evidence against is always going to be better than the scattergun approach.

You're not confirmed anything, you could well be a culty who has seen 3 people not in his ranks up for the noose.

I notice with interest that neither Dead_Bob nor Penisinface have bothered to defend themselves. I see this as a sign that they are town. (gonna get a little meta now) Weirdos have a reason to try to save themselves if they get put up for the vote, it's part of the role. For a town member however it can be off-putting and make you want to give up, especially if you've not played before (have they?). I'd probably feel the same way but I don't want to give up on this game (loved the books) and I've got a lot of free time on my hands. I also know that defending yourself when you're wrongfully accused is part of the fun and that it's not over until it's over.

I know that they were put up in the first place because they suggested "no vote" strategies but I don't think this is as sure a sign of weirdo membership as some might say. I think it's mainly a sign of ignorance of the game conventions. Who, knowing the common attitude towards "no lynch on first day" tactics, would be foolish enough to suggest it? Just because it would be disadvantageous for the town not to lynch on the first day it doesn't follow that those who suggest it are anti town. Any weirdo with a clue would know that there's no chance of a no-lynch outcome. They'd vote tactically to preserve a veneer of innocence. Indeed, on the first day they'd be best off staying quiet.

I won't debate the no vote thing, I also said no vote in the beginning, and I don't think it tells us anything at all.
radioelectric said @ 12:18am GMT on 26th Aug
I think if you asked anybody they'd be able to come up with some tenuous reason how they're "confirmed town". I don't buy it, personally.
theSinisterMushroom said @ 12:23am GMT on 26th Aug
How is what I'm saying tenuous? It makes perfect sense. No cultist in their right mind would try for such a stupid powerplay -- not enough benefit, and potential to loose 50% of the team, at a time when you need it most.

This is also my first game. I'm sure bodnoir's dice were loaded (see what happened in the sensible starcraft game) so the chances I would be assigned a cultist/horseman role are very very small.
-_- said @ 12:34am GMT on 26th Aug
Tsk tsk ... don't insult the GM.
"dice were loaded" is an insult to a GM.
There might be the occasional "fudge" or "re-roll" because of a specific concern but any GM that tries to "script" a game is going to have a hard time getting people to play in another one.

However, its relatively safe to support a Day 1 multilynch, given a good mixture of known veterans and relative newbies. Some o' us are just eager to get down and dirty. ;) Yes, its advantageous for the fledgling cults. But a wider distribution of votes is unlikely given that half of the voters just picked the most "offending" nick.

Trying to kill THREE people on day one with such slim, slim liklihood of hitting the right targets will only come back to bite us. Both cults are recruiting, and by getting rid of (lets say, to be kind) two innocent townies we do reduce their pool of recruitment, BUT THEY STILL WILL RECRUIT. All we will have done is take away two innocent townies to COUNTER the two that will have been recruited, giving the townies an even smaller margin of numbers against the cults. We need to keep innocents around for numbers or we stand no chance in, erm, Hell.

Well well well, what a fine predicament we've gotten ourselves into. You boys decided to go with me on my triple lynch idea for a little while before coming to your senses. I hate to cause confusion or discord, but I am trying to show you boys (and the girls too , mind you) how easily manipulated the votes can be. We here as the townsfolk of Tadville stand as equals today. Even if you have given into the sins of the flesh and swapped bodily functions with the school marm a few times... (...today) we have no idea who you are or what you're about. Tonight an innocent will more than likely die and we, as a town -no as a community of good, will have to continue forth to eradicate this evil among us. Those who are in these so called "cults" and other such evil leagues have some semblance of who is a sinner, and cannot afford to sacrifice one of their own on the first day. I strongly suggest we not look onto those accused with stones in our hands, but to examine those doing the accusations.

Now, I come to you, as rational, fair, and thinking citizen and as one of the accused. I have no doubt that myself and the others accused are among the innocent and the ones that do not die by the will of the citizens of Tadville this day will be taken by the darkness of the night. Those Cults, serial killers, Horsemen, and the antichrist all have abilities and knowledge beyond our comprehension and wish to turn us against ourselves.

The thing that keeps me in good faith with the lord is the knowledge that many of our good citizens are more than what they seem. That we have ourselves good folk with extraordinary abilities. Abilities to protect and investigate those around us in order to defend (scuse me I gotta take drink of water) the righteous and emasculate the evil-dooers. I wish we could just come out and scream the powers that the good lord gave us, but that would make us, scuse me, those who have these gifts from god, targets for the creatures of the night.

Now, I've lived a good long time and have been through this here before. Believe it or not, I used to live in a town with a werewolf population. so needless to say, I've seen a few things and noticed that the more vocal you are, the more likely you are to get accused. Its true, boy. That, in this situation, the citizens live as mutes, fearing that their words will get them sent to an early grave. I for one refuse to sit idly by while the fate of Tadville, no the fate of the world is at stake! I am fully aware that this makes me a target on both sides and I do not care. If I am to survive until the morning, I realize it is because of the good, fair, and just citizen's welfare.

As for the vote tonight, I have to admit to you, boys, I'm trying to save my own skin no matter what. "You always gotta look out for number one," that's what my Pappi usted to say before he got kicked in the head by a mule. Now he says "EUUUhhhhwww." poor Pappi.

Stating in a long speach that "talking gets you accused" is either a silly move, or a clever plan to try and get people to not vote for you in rebuttal, right now the weirdos are not a large enough entity to sway the populace, but something about your comments do unnerve me...

No, double/triple/multi lynches are rarely good. They are too easily influenced by the "bad guys" without connecting themselves too obviously, as there are three groups of people voting.

However, the people that change votes and make it blatantly obvious that they are switching to prevent the multi lynch know that it makes them seem more innocent by doing so. Therefore, those who jump in on the "I'm preventing the multi lynch" crowd, should be looked at with a ... cautious eye.

In Sensible Mafia games it's not a concern to talk "at night". And indeed, groups can communicate during the day in their own private areas. I've always figured it's due to the convenience of everyone involved, what with having players from multiple time-zones.
Silent said @ 2:09pm GMT on 26th Aug
The kind of tactical voting you seem to think has happened would surely need larger groups, so far you've got 2 on each side and four individual horsemen, a couple of loosecanons.
I mean if you want to sway people with a group mentality you need a large group or a few very vocal members, it seemed more a case of tSM digging himself into a hole than anyone particularly jumping in to the rescue of any of the condemned.
As it stands any thoughts are speculation but on Day01 if any of the cultists were up they're partner would have been more defensive, the numbers are far too low to lose someone just yet.
nibbon said @ 3:15pm GMT on 26th Aug
however, we had three persons up for lynch - yet a fourth was taken when the chance arose. It is rather weird that the two didn't go to the third - but really it isn't. This is because working together, visibly, is very damming in this game. The fourth party really allowed them to avoid such situations. I will comment more on this on day 2, i think.

I'd say unless I am dead, but this usually doesn't happen in this game because killing me to frame someone really has no merit, anymore.
Silent said @ 3:52pm GMT on 26th Aug
But you're missing the point that as yet groups are not large enough to be of any tactical advantage, all they have is the element of surprise, the only reason why tSM got lynched instead of the threeway is because he opened himself up to it, if he'd have kept his mouth shut the vote could have quite easily have favoured any of the others when it came down to it.

“Please, for everyone’s sake, kill someone with me at least! It’s the only way! It’s the only way we’ll surv...!”

TheSinisterMushrooms last words were kept short by his neck breaking, having been pushed unexpectadly off the statue by radioelectric.

"What?" Radioelectric asked. "He talked too much."

The mayor sighed wearily, “Well, everyone to their homes. This day has been exhausting. Everyone get a good nights sleep because we’ve got to repeat the ugly business tomorrow.”

The townspeople eventually leave the fountain, each off to their own homes. The sun sets at precisely 6:34PM**

* Juju had been working out lately. Eventually she was going to enter a body building competition.
**Saturday was finally feeling better about itself. All day it had been thinking of a really wicked comeback for Tuesday. Having found one, Saturday ended a whole seven seconds early, eager to get it’s dig into Tuesday.

Night actions please. Send them to me NO LATER than one hour before the end of night.

Troubadour, Vampire X, and xgp007 you are on notice. If I do not receive a PM from you tonight explaining your lack of participation, you will be GM killed in the morning. If you miss any more votes without a valid reason, you will also be GM killed.

EVERYONE ELSE: I leave a vote up to you. If those three above are GM killed, do you want their roles redistributed? Put your vote in to this comment.
kichijoii said @ 7:33am GMT on 26th Aug
sooo.... he was vanilla then? oh bugger.

I say redistribute. If they are important roles then let some normal townies in on the action.
kichijoii said @ 7:34am GMT on 26th Aug
items, too, lest they go to waste.
afakaz said @ 7:38am GMT on 26th Aug
I vote reassignment. Also, other people, help me upmod this
Bodnoirbabe said @ 8:10am GMT on 26th Aug
Oh yeah. heh. Sorry.

theSinisterMushroom was nothing but a normal townie.
eskimonoise said @ 5:46pm GMT on 26th Aug
Yeah but he was weird.
A bit.
And made of wood!

So, he weighed... the same... as a duck?
RedRiverRat said @ 2:33am GMT on 27th Aug
And, he changed me into a newt.

... I got better ...

I vote for redistribution. And more finger cakes.
redemption said @ 9:49am GMT on 26th Aug
Indeed, redistribution. Or if you've got people that would like to join, you could place them in the role.
sythe said @ 11:54am GMT on 26th Aug
Unfortunately that's not going to work now, as we'll know that at least one, most likely more than one of them has a special role.
-_- said @ 4:38pm GMT on 26th Aug
Same as eskimonoise though, we wouldn't know if any of them are special or not .. the three in the GMs sights might all be vanilla ... or specials ... or a mix ... same as any other of us.
sythe said @ 4:45pm GMT on 26th Aug
The question would not have been asked were there not at least one special in the bunch. Replacing them with new players is an immediate beacon for anyone looking for a special.
-_- said @ 8:25pm GMT on 26th Aug
The question might have been asked without a special in the bunch if she was looking to establish a point of order before the next round of mod kills.

Nothing is ever sure on Day 1 ;)
foobar said @ 6:39pm GMT on 26th Aug
Not necessarily, Bodnoirbabe could just be pulling our chain.
radioelectric said @ 10:56am GMT on 26th Aug
Redistribution.
Aidentas said @ 10:59am GMT on 26th Aug
Gerrymandering.
brat#3 said @ 7:47pm GMT on 26th Aug
HAH! I just read a book that explained where that word comes from.

Aint politics grand?
theolypse said @ 11:01am GMT on 26th Aug
Reroll
theolypse said @ 4:14pm GMT on 26th Aug
In retrospect, rerolling is bad for the town, which already has enough against it. We'd be starting over on day 2, with people already dead, and no new information, because we wouldn't be able to take anyone's voting pattern from day one for granted.
Once I come home, I'd like to open a discussion on whether it's effective play to accept being recruited or not.
theolypse said @ 4:17pm GMT on 26th Aug
Also, I need a rules clarification.
If the Anti-Christ is discovered and awakened, does he/she have the option of not joining the group that awakens him/her?
Bodnoirbabe said @ 5:11pm GMT on 26th Aug
No. He/she automatically aligns with whatever side awakens them.
pinky said @ 11:05am GMT on 26th Aug
Hmmm. I was going to say redistribute, but I think redemption's idea may make more sense.

Would it be possible to add in 3 more people who wanted to play, but JUST missed the cut?
Bodnoirbabe said @ 5:12pm GMT on 26th Aug
There are no other people.
pinky said @ 1:20am GMT on 27th Aug
In that case, I'll follow juju's lead and say redistribute at your discretion, with an eye towards proper balance.
archangel_2 said @ 12:38pm GMT on 26th Aug
Reassignment, please.
KingPellinore said @ 12:44pm GMT on 26th Aug
I vote redistribution of GM killed roles
theSinisterMushroom said @ 1:29pm GMT on 26th Aug
I want to publicly apologize to the townies and to the GM. I'm sorry I mentioned the whole dice thing, those were desperate times.

I think I've learned my lesson, and I'll give it another shot next time, if you'll have me.

Good luck everyone, and have fun.
KingPellinore said @ 1:51pm GMT on 26th Aug [Score:1 Underrated]
We'll definitely have you for the next go round. You at least put effort into playing, which is more than can be said for certain players who shall remain unnamed.

However, in the future, you may want to refrain from advocating multiple lynches on Day One. ;-)
-_- said @ 4:39pm GMT on 26th Aug
I agree whole heartedly :D
cool_drool said @ 1:31pm GMT on 26th Aug

jarringpeach said @ 4:19pm GMT on 26th Aug
NO redistribution.
kishi said @ 6:31pm GMT on 26th Aug
I vote for redistribution.
juju said @ 10:54pm GMT on 26th Aug
Hmm... redistribution at your discretion. Do whatever doesn't unbalance the game, if that means redistributing then that, if it means only one gets distributed, fine, if none redistributed, alright.
Mopy J said @ 12:04am GMT on 27th Aug

beerboy said @ 3:11am GMT on 27th Aug

daffyduck said @ 11:44pm GMT on 26th Aug
Eep. Too lazy to correct it into the right thread though, since things seem to be going that way without my input.
Troubadour said @ 1:01pm GMT on 27th Aug

sythe said @ 1:26pm GMT on 27th Aug

Fishy...
kichijoii said @ 4:12pm GMT on 27th Aug
And we thought he just wasn't around, but he's read through our comments, the sly thing!

But, dude, you better vote next time, or his fate shall be your own. Heed our GM's words!
daffyduck said @ 4:48pm GMT on 27th Aug
I'm just thinking maybe he wasn't as inactice as Bodnoirbabe led us to believe. If he's active in a group but forgets to vote, not putting his name up there with the inactives is like putting up a neon sign. IF being the key word here.
daffyduck said @ 4:49pm GMT on 27th Aug
inactice -> inactive
