New option for Thai school restrooms: ♀/♂

By my math, they represent ~8% of the student body. Would/should similar modifications be made for all groups representing that large/small a percentage?

Also, if you take it a little further: Assuming that this is a not a male only school (which I don't know) then this group would comprise > ~15% of the male (by genitalia) population at the school.

That number surprises me, but then again I'm in the US; we tend to violently suppress this sort of thing.

I work in a call center, which, of course, attracts many transgendered people. I have absolutely no problem with the ladyboys using my bathroom, and I haven't ever heard of any girls having a problem in theirs. In fact, the only real mention I've ever heard of it was a friend of mine saying that she respected that Paul(a), a mutual friend, used the ladies.

I think the real solution to this problem is education about gender identity, and not coming up with an alternative restroom. I seem to recall people being a bit unhappy about that sort of thing here in the US a few years ago?

We had unisex bathrooms (sans urinals) for a while at the university. I don't remember anyone being uncomfortable with them, and math undergraduates are about 50/50 split between genders. But I assume in the end someone did complain, since they eventually separated them.
