quote [ The first night in the Li'l Peter wasn't the longest night in everyone's life, nor was it the longest night known to mankind (those in Clusterfuck and the Mushroom Kingdom can attest to this bit of trivia). ]
As eternity finished, and the sun rose over California, a large girlish scream was heard coming from the wagons. The first responders discovered tamp, the leader of the covered wagons, filled with birdshot.
[mafia game] [by Jewbacchus@12:08pmGMT] [+10 Good] As the future citizens looted her wagon for clothes, photos, and survival items, Graham alerted the town to a horrible sight. Leezurd had taken the ship... One of the ships docked in the Franciscan Bay. He had no intention of striking for gold here. He was probably off to Hawaii. Cowardly Prospector. The citizens decided to get back to work, panning for gold and building a new life... Except for JewyPEZ. No, he worked through the night, hoping to find the motherlode first. A pickaxe found his nasal cavity, and picked for its own gold. He was a Townie. --- No one came to California completely gullible. Whether from the overland, Mexico, Oregon, or Asia, everyone carried a gun. However, bullets are a rarity. You may win a bullet IF you win one of Aidentas' contests. --- Player List shizac - Card Player mos - Mayor jhvh1 - Steamship Captain mego - Farmer foglai - Shopkeeper graham - Adventurist duncs - Blacksmith sociology_boy - Southern Belle Amul Muzz - Animal Tracker Todomanna - Oregonian Carpenter eightysix - Barber Eon Bleu - Banker beerboy - Liquor Proprietor --- Day 1 |

Well, I'm off for a while, so I'll put a vote here in case I don't make it back to a computer before day's end. Bankers must be consistent, for consistency is what makes a bank run. I'll vote for foglai again. No hard feelings, but if you're dead, the shop goes back to the bank! |

CONTEST TIME tamp happened to leave behind some nice scrap metal. I've had duncs melt down the trinkets for us all (thank you, duncs!). Seeing as I needed a new belt, spurs, fishhooks, shinguards, badge for our sheriff, chastity belt for my daughter, etc... We have one bullet available. So, we're going to earn this bullet. Following my instructions will earn you that bullet. 1) I'm friends with a nice man who moved out here from Massachusetts via Oregon. Some of the Mexicans may think otherwise out here, as he was the President of the Bear Flag Republic. How many days passed between his arrival at Sutter's Fort to his ascension as the leader of the Californian Republic? HINT (1): He is a Mormon. HINT (2): A speech is a speech, but the date the flag is raised is the date I care for. 2) What newspaper did the Yankees among you learn that gold was in these Californian hills? 3) mos plays as Al Swearengen... I'll allow it. But... What was the name of the real Al Swearengen's saloon? Submit all answers via PM to Aidentas. The first one to get all three correctly wins a bullet. All answers are easier to find than they look, but hard to find if you don't. Batteries not included. Don't forget your toothbrush. |

CLARIFICATION: 1) OK... Certain dates are attributable to different sources. Some answers which appear correct do not match my answers. I've decided to say the following: The bullet has been awarded. |

I think first day votes are pretty random, since no one has anything to go on but here were the voting patterns: theolypse 8 (duncs, Todomanna, beerboy, Mos/Al Swearengen, foglai, Amul Muzz, jhvh1) Todomanna 4 (JewyPEZ-townie, theolypse-townie, shizac, sociology boy) beerboy 1 (mego) eightysix 1 (graham) graham 1 (eightysix) foglai 1 (Eon Bleu) Seeing as how both of the townies who voted for Todomanna ended up dead, and Todomanna voted for a townie, I would say that he's highest on my list right now. But again, first day votes aren't that important, so don't read too much into it even though there are probably prospectors who voted for theolypse. |
|
foglai
said @ 7:49am GMT on 25th Apr
Yeah, not much help I guess. eightysix and graham voting for each other probably means they're not in the same group. |

said @ 8:34am GMT on 25th Apr
Killing off those who voted for ones-self would be a horrible tactic, as it points directly to that same person. Just know that by your logic, you're the first to be suspect once I turn up townie ;) |
|
Eon Bleu
said @ 9:56am GMT on 25th Apr
That's why I agree that that logic is stupid and first day votes mean nothing. But it would make sense for a prospector or two to vote for a townie if the other lynch candidate was a prospector as well. |
