Sensible Evil: Still Dawn

quote [ About two months ago, there was this... ]

...incident, involving zombies, in a mansion.

--:--:-- - I have no way of keeping track of the time now, it's been several days since we escaped the city. I only remember flashes of what happened, the creature falling back beneath a rain of heavy caliber bullets, a high powered search light blinding us all and a deafening explosion as a rocket fired from the helicopter caused the monster to simply disintegrate in front of my eyes. Dozens of soldiers dressed in a solid black fast roping from the chopper, easily dispatching the growing crowd of ghouls attracted by our battle. The next thing I remember was the room I'm in now, a room so painfully white that it was hard to open my eyes at first. My wounds had been dressed, and I was laying in a hospital bed, but other than that the room was utterly featureless.

Basic Mechanics

The 'infection' system was based on a scale from 0-100% infected.

0-25% was [Fine]
25%-50% was [Caution]
50%-75% was [Caution]
75%-100% was [Danger]
At 100% infection, the player would die.

Each night, every single person be increased by 10%, anyone who was bit would be increased by 20% for each bite.
Aidentas, the Umbrella researcher, could also increase any one target per night by 20%. The retrovirus he possessed prevented him from going over 50%.
juju, had she been targeted for a night kill, would have exploded and infected her killer by an extra 50%.
Medics healed by 50% infection, as did Green Hersb.

There were two reasons behind the split night, the first was that Umbrella recieved information on who S.T.A.R.S. was targeting so long as TheCooler and redemption both remained alive. The second reason was that anyone who was night killed before midnight was given the opportunity to choose who they would bite.

S.T.A.R.S. )
1) S.T.A.R.S. Captain - sythe
- The dull, repetitive thud of the helicopter surrounding you and your team easily drowned out any attempt at conversation. TheCooler, your second in command, was closest to the side, peering out quietly at the smoke billowing from the increasingly distant mansion. The past several hours had been horrendous, Bravo Team was gone, except for Todomanna the shrewd medic who had managed to escape long enough to link up with your team. He was still, staring at his knees from his seat. The ever stoic b, the man who was responsible for the explosives that had leveled the building, had his legs kicked up on an empty equipment box, a half-forgotten cigarette dangling from the corner of his lips. Your detective, justus stepped back from the small cockpit, shouting to be heard over the rotar.

"I'm getting no response from HQ, chief. Something's wrong back in the city." You consider this for a long moment before sitting forward and standing, grabbing ahold of the seat to lean out and look at the approaching city. The usual light pollution was gone, and a few pillars of smoke could be seen. Turning to your officers, you remark;

"Assume that the infection spread, we'll fast rope into the city and split up. Find any survivors and make your way back to the PD." The most promising building was a ten story high rise on the outskirts of the downtown area, and it seemed all to fast before your perceived safety on the chopper was at an end. Tapping the pilot on the shoulder, you gave him his orders. "Touch down at the airport, try to refuel and find some safety in the mountains, set up a radio receiver and wait for our next contact." He nodded, and you turned back in time to see justus zip down out of the aircraft. Hooking your carabiner to the rope, you followed him out. A sudden whistling noise caught your attention, as a contrail with an ominously bright light at the front suddenly impacted with the tail rotor of the helicopter. The rope failed, sending you crashing the last few feet to the roof of the building. Looking up in horror, you saw the chopper start to spin, disappearing into the distance. justus grabbed your shoulder, lifting you to your feet.

"We've gotta move, chief!" You could already hear the moans of approaching creatures. Checking your gear, you chambered a round in your handgun.
"Maybe we should stick together"

You are the S.T.A.R.S. Captain. As well as being in charge of the S.T.A.R.S. faction, you possess a handgun that allows you a single night kill throughout the game.

2) S.T.A.R.S. Lieutenant - TheCooler
- The dull, repetitive thud of the helicopter surrounding you and your team easily drowned out any attempt at conversation. The last few hours had been... unpleasant. You didn't feel much pity for your lost team mates, or for the surely traumatized comrades in the helicopter along with you. You'd get paid for your part in the mansion escapades, and that's really all that mattered to you. sythe, the S.T.A.R.S. Captain seemed lost in his own thoughts, fingering the open holster at his side. The ridiculously lucky Bravo Team medic, Todomanna, was utterly still at your side, staring down at the deck of the helicopter. How he'd survived before your team arrived, you'd never understand. Still, he was less creepy than b who seemed perfectly unconcerned with the hell he'd just been through. A lit cigarette hung from his lips, and he'd kicked his feet up onto an equipment box. As you pondered the demolitions expert, justus stepped back from the cockpit.

"I'm getting no response from HQ, chief. Something's wrong back in the city." You had to repress a smirk, knowing all too well what awaited you back in the city. sythe stood and glanced out the opening next to you.

"Assume that the infection spread, we'll fast rope into the city and split up. Find any survivors and make your way back to the PD." The man's heroism was growing tiresome, but you'd play along for appearance's sake. As you approached the drop off, he mumbled something to the pilot and then followed justus out the door. b was hooking himself up when your world was suddenly thrown upside down. The helicopter lurched and began to spin, you could feel yourself nearly blacking out, gripping the seat with all of your strength. A bone-crunching crash that seemed to last forever heralded the end of your flight. Todomanna was curled up against the crumpled closed side of the chopper in a fetal position, while b was already out of the helicopter and onto the street below, sweeping the area ahead of him with his handgun, looking for any threat. The only injury he seemed to have sustained was the loss of his cigarette. This couldn't have been Umbrella, they needed your information, so someone else was in town. Glancing into the cockpit, the half eviscerated corpse of the pilot quickly confirmed that you only numbered three. You grabbed Todomanna by the arm and jumped from the helicopter.

"I suggest... that we stick together." The other two nodded in agreement.

You are the S.T.A.R.S. Lieutenant and an Umbrella Plant. So long as you and your contact are alive, Umbrella receives information about S.T.A.R.S. actions. If the S.T.A.R.S. Captain dies, you are the Tie Breaker vote for any S.T.A.R.S. actions.

3) S.T.A.R.S. Medic - Todomanna
- The dull, repetitive thud of the helicopter surrounding you and your team easily drowned out any attempt at conversation. It felt like days since you'd last slept, even if it had only been 24 hours at the most. You'd been separated from the rest of Bravo Team, and that simple fact seemed to have saved your life. Alpha Team had arrived, with Captain sythe at the head, and now you were flying away from that accursed mansion, or rather the rubble that still existed. TheCooler, sythe's lieutenant, hung out the side of the chopper, peering at the destruction left behind. The presence of their demo man, b, however, calmed you immensely. He seemed unflappable, smoking idly with his feet up on an equipment box. You stared quietly at the deck until Detective justus came from the cockpit.

"I'm getting no response from HQ, chief. Something's wrong back in the city." Your spirit dropped, what if the city was the same as the mansion had been?

"Assume that the infection spread, we'll fast rope into the city and split up. Find any survivors and make your way back to the PD." sythe remarked, and you could only stare for the brief trip into the city. The captain murmured something to the pilot before following justus out the door and down the rope. b was hooking himself up when your world was suddenly thrown upside down. The helicopter lurched and began to spin, you could feel yourself nearly blacking out, gripping the seat with all of your strength. A bone-crunching crash that seemed to last forever heralded the end of your flight. You instinctively curled up in a ball behind the copilot's seat, and it was only TheCooler's strong grip that pulled you up and out of the chopper. Outside, b was lighting a new cigarette as the lieutenant spoke.

"I suggest... that we stick together."

You are the S.T.A.R.S. Medic. You can heal any single person each night of some of their infection.

4) S.T.A.R.S. Detective - justus
The dull, repetitive thud of the helicopter surrounding you and your team easily drowned out any attempt at conversation. You had been on board the chopper with the pilot while the rest of the team investigated the mansion, but from what they've told you, it was hell on earth. Counting yourself lucky to have been spared, you still felt a bit guilty for not accompanying them into the fray. Flicking a few of the radio toggles, holding the headset up to your ear. You'd gotten nothing but static the entire time. The only station you were receiving was an automatic time tick that told you nothing. Checking the PD's station one last time, you stood and made your way back into the passenger bay. Lieutenant TheCooler hung out the side of the chopper, watching the destruction in the distance. Todomanna, the sole remaining Bravo Team member, their medic, was staring at his own feet. b was relaxed as usual, smoking a cigarette and slouched down in his seat.

"I'm getting no response from HQ, chief. Something's wrong back in the city." You looked to Captain sythe.

"Assume that the infection spread, we'll fast rope into the city and split up. Find any survivors and make your way back to the PD." You felt a mixture of apprehension and elation, deciding there and then to make up for your absence before. You sat down on the edge of the helicopter, hooking yourself into the fast roping apparatus. The target building appeared below, and you dropped at the fastest safe speed to the concrete below. Unhooking, you got clear from beneath the rope and began checking your equipment when an explosion suddenly lit the sky above you. The chopper was smoking and the tail rotor was gone, sythe, already halfway down, dropped hard the rest of the way. As the helicopter spun off into the distance, you helped the Captain to his feet.

"We've gotta move, chief!" You could already hear the moans of approaching creatures.
"Maybe we should stick together." He mumbled, unholstering his handgun.

You are the S.T.A.R.S. Detective you can choose a single target each night, and will be told if they are Umbrella or not.

5) S.T.A.R.S. Demolitions Expert - b
- The dull, repetitive thud of the helicopter surrounding you and your team easily drowned out any attempt at conversation. You shifted your cigarette to the opposite side of your mouth and kicked your legs up onto an equipment box. That'd been a trip. The undead, genetic mutations and gigantic monsters. Still, you couldn't help thinking that the war had been worse. Nothing had tried to shoot you, yet. Of course, try telling that to Todomanna, the Bravo Team medic. He'd seen half his unit eaten, and now knew that the other half was just as dead. Captain sythe sat across from you, contemplating quietly. Lieutenant TheCooler hung out the side, watching the ruins of the mansion disappear into the distance. justus, the Alpha Team Detective, came back from the cockpit with a headset in his hands.

"I'm getting no response from HQ, chief. Something's wrong back in the city." You looked up at Captain sythe.
"Assume that the infection spread, we'll fast rope into the city and split up. Find any survivors and make your way back to the PD." Well, wonderful, you'd kind of been hoping for a drink. You comforted yourself with the fact that if the city had been infected, at least you'd be able to get booze for free. Nearing the target building, you saw justus disappear over the side and down the rope, followed by the Captain. Heaving a sigh, you started hooking up your own gear, when the helicopter suddenly lurched and began to spin. You pretty much knew that you'd been hit, you'd been in a helicopter that got shot down before, but it was still a jarring experience. Impact wasn't as bad as you'd expected, and you dropped out of the chopper as quickly as possible. Sweeping the street with the muzzle of your gun, you spat the butt of your cigarette into the gutter. TheCooler came out next, dragging Todomanna behind him. Reaching into your vest, you started to light another cigarette.
"I suggest... that we stick together." the Lieutenant said softly

6) Umbrella Branch CEO - snowfox
--You couldn't help but think that this would all reflect badly on your branch as you stuffed important papers into your briefcase. The infection had taken out the first few floors of your building before security had managed to take out the internal stairwells. At this point, you cursed yourself for having gone with Rent-a-cops instead of UBCS. Ah well, there was plenty of opportunity to redeem yourself in the coming nights. The entire scenario would be ripe with needed combat data on all of the various genetic experiments. Kicking open your office door, briefcase in one hand and submachine gun in the other, your brisk walk down the hallway seemed to unnerve your bodyguard, nibbon. He took up pace behind you, cradling a broken arm. You debated shooting him in the leg and leaving him as bait, but figured he'd be useful later. The small group of survivors that greeted you in the corporate lounge were what was left of your trustworthy employees. Your main researcher, Aidentas cradled a metal case that undoubtedly held the Antivirus. Your corporate spy, redemption, slid a manilla folder across the glass table to you as you entered. Aidnetas' assistant and the company nurse, assbastard, seemed nervous, as if he shouldn't be there.

"On your feet, we've got a train to catch." You quipped, plucking the folder from the table before turning on one heel, the others shuffling to follow. The folder contained a report of the incident at the mansion auxiliary lab, and also mentioned that the current problems appeared to be the result of a botched government raid. The subterranean train would bring you safely out of the city to the tertiary research outpost, where you could chopper out of the area. nibbon got it running easily enough, and you took a seat in the control car. All was going well, until a sudden shudder ran through the tracks, and the power flickered. Glancing up over your spectacles, you caught a glimpse of the cave in as it began. Catching the train in mid-section, your half continued for half a mile before coming to a tumultuous stop, sending you careening into the control panel. Aidentas, redemption and assbastard had all been in the anterior car. You sighed and glanced at nibbon, who was trying in vain to get the train running again.
"Don't bother, we'll have to walk from here." Throwing the side door open, you fell to the packed dirt below, your enforcer right behind. The light reflected off the cataract eyes of a horde of undead train workers and hobos that slowly lurched towards you. Taking aim with your submachine gun, you mumbled;

"Bloody Hell..."

You are the Umbrella Branch CEO, and have final decision over all of Umbrella's night actions, including a nightly kill.

7) Umbrella Researcher - Aidentas
- Trying desperately to buff a smudge out of your glasses, you barely noticed as the CEO, snowfox came into the corporate lounge, tailed by her bodyguard nibbon. She always seemed to rub you the wrong way, and after barely escaping from the labs with your life, you really didn't feel like dealing with her at the moment. At one point, one of those SpecOps soldiers had jammed a gun right into your nose! That one really hurt, but they'd been distracted by the experiments they'd stupidly let loose on themselves. No matter at this point, all you wanted was to get on the train and get out of the city. The Corporate Spy, redemption, slid a folder across the table to the CEO before leaning back in his chair, while your subordinate assbastard fidgeted with his pen.
"On your feet, we've got a train to catch." The CEO said in her grating voice, but you still stood, cradling the Antivirus in your arms. The trip down to the train was uneventful, and you took a seat in the plush passenger cabin along with the Spy and assbastard. The ride was uneventful for the first few minutes, but a sudden flicker of the lights seemed almost as disorienting as the sudden stop that followed. You flew across the cabin, but miraculously managed to protect the Antivirus from harm. Stumbling to your feet, you tried to open the connecting door to the control car, where snowfox and nibbon had been, but all that greeted you was a tower of rubble, apparently a cave in had severed the two sides of the train. assbastard groaned and pulled himself up, while redemption had already exited the train.
"Come on... we'd better follow him." You remarked to assbastard

You are the Umbrella Researcher, and have the option to infect any single person with the virus each night. In addition, your possession of the Antivirus prevents you from becoming fully infected.

8)Umbrella Corporate Spy - redemption
-"Mmm, right, so the mansion is destroyed?" You questioned the person on the other end of the phone line.
"Nothing but dust." Came the response of your informant.
"Well, keep me updated." You tossed the phone back into it's cradle before scribbling a quick note and jamming it into a manilla folder along with a report of what had caused the outbreak. Some black ops Special Forces team had tried to raid the labs, and unwittingly released the various experiments. You noted with slight relief that the CEO had yet to reach the corporate lounge, only the two researchers, Aidentas and his assistant assbastard were present. Taking a seat, you flashed a fake smile at the two before pouring yourself a glass of scotch. The entire scenario didn't matter much to you, you'd be paid a fortune for the information you'd gathered when you escaped on the train to the tertiary research post. The CEO and her bodyguard, snowfox and nibbon entered unceremoniously, the executive toting an impressive submachine gun. Sliding the folder across the table to her, you idly took a sip of the scotch. She took a quick glance before announcing;
"On your feet, we've got a train to catch." Music to your ears. Downing the rest of the scotch, you followed the small group of surviving employees down to the train. Taking up comfortable residence in a plush seat, the hum of the engine and the sudden feeling of motion calmed you. Another mission accomplished, leaving you to wonder if there was any scotch aboard the Umbrella Express. snowfox and nibbon had departed for the control car, leaving you with Aidentas and assbastard once again. You didn't have time to consider this for long, as the power suddenly fluctuated and you were thrown to the ground as your car came to a bone-jarring stop. Your elation instantly disappeared and your survival instincts kicked in. You took note of the Researched Aidentas checking the control cab door unsuccessfully before throwing open the side door and jumping down to the ground below. You idly noticed the two scientists following you as you set off back down the tunnel.

You are the Umbrella Corporate Spy, so long as you are alive, the Umbrella faction is filtered random information from your informant. In addition, you may choose a single target each night in an attempt to steal from.

9) Umbrella Enforcer - nibbon
They didn't pay you nearly enough for this. The outbreak had been stopped several floors below by barricade, but not before a crazed survivor had broken your arm attempting to jump it. To make matters worse, it was your gun arm. The CEO and the woman you were supposed to be protecting, snowfox, made her way out of the office, not even pausing to see if you would follow. Of course, you did, as she was your best bet on getting out of this city. You vaguely recognized the three men in the corporate lounge, Aidentas the head researcher, assbastard his assistant, and the corporate spy redemption, who slid a folder across to snowfox as she spoke.
"On your feet, we have a train to catch." You knew the train well, being the only one left that could operate it. snowfox followed you into the control car and took a seat as you readied the engine and got it moving. The other three stayed behind in the passenger car. All was going well until a sudden power fluctuation dimmed the lights, and a resounding crash severed the two sides of the train. The control car continued for nearly half a mile before coming to a halt. You grimaced as your bad arm rammed against the control panel. You reached for the controls, trying to get the train running again.
"Don't bother, we'll have to walk from here." The woman behind you mumbled, throwing open the door before jumping out. Moving to follow, you could hear the report of her submachine gun and see cataract eyes in the distance.

You are the Umbrella Enforcer, and may block any one target's night action, each night.

10) Umbrella Medic - assbastard
-The frightening experience seemed in no hurry to end. First, some soldiers had appeared out of nowhere and accosted you and the Professor, Aidentas, then they had released the experiments! No matter, the two of you had escaped and now rested comfortably in the corporate lounge. You couldn't help but feel self-conscious, never having been allowed in the room before. Looking up, a man you didn't know entered, Aidentas leaned over and explained that he was a corporate spy, named redemption. The man poured himself a drink and silence returned until the CEO, snowfox and her mountain of a bodyguard, nibbon entered. redemption slid a file folder across to her, and she glanced at it before looking up.
"On your feet, we have a train to catch." A train? Where would there be a train still working? Well, you weren't about to argue, so you followed the group to an elevator that descended deep below the office building. This was all way over your head, but the train car you found yourself in seemed comfortable enough, and you figured you were safer than most in the city. The CEO and her guard disappeared through a forward door. All was well for a few minutes, but suddenly the lights flickered. Glancing up, you were suddenly on the floor. Trying to regain your senses, you saw Aidentas pull open the door forward and get a face full of collapsed tunnel, and the side door of the car was open. You coughed heavily and followed the professor as he exited the car.

11)Special Forces Commander - Jewbacchus
- "Chopper! Take her down!" You roared to Narrenschiff, who instantly dropped to a knee, swinging his rocket launcher from his back. Dismortis and verycleanteeth took up positions at either intersection, assault rifles aimed down the street. shineythings reached into her pack, jamming the RPG into the chamber of the launcher before tapping Narrenschiff on the helmet. Flames shot from the back of the rocket as it shot into the air, impacting with the tail section of the helicopter. A brilliant explosion and a column of smoke heralded a precise hit.
"Clean kill, keep moving!" You waved a hand forward, the others falling into a wedge formation behind you, checking each entrance to the building.
"Room clear!" shineythings piped from within, followed by "The Intelligence is confirmed, this is the anterior entrance to the facility, Commander." from verycleanteeth
"Roger that, drop your packs here, we need to move quick and light. Blue Team hasn't responded since the operation began, we have to assume they're lost." You stated, shrugging off your heavy pack. "I want one forward, two back. verycleanteeth, you're with me. Let's move, people!" The reassuring slap of boots on pavement greeted you, your team making excellent time through the labyrinth of corridors. A shot rang out from ahead, Dismortis had taken point, and you had no doubts that the sniper had just made a kill. Explosions rocked the sewer system, and you were thrown from off your feet. Shaking your head to clear the after effects of the quake, you found yourself cut off both ahead and behind. verycleanteeth was coming to his feet beside you, checking his weapon.
"Orders, sir?" You assessed the situation quickly, the only exit was a severed sewer pipe about four feet in diameter that lead up out of your small chamber at an upward angle.
"Up."

You are the Special Forces Team Leader, You are in command of the Special Forces team, and may investigate two times throughout the course of the game.

12) Special Forces Sniper - Dismortis
- "Chopper! Take her down!" Commander Jewbacchus shouted, taking up a position forward. You fell to a knee facing down the nearby intersection, hearing Narrenschiff and shineythings setting up the RPG. The whistling blast was followed by a solid explosion in the distance, and the roar of the Commander. "Clean kill, keep moving!"
You fell into position at Jewbacchus' right side, verycleanteeth to his left and behind, Narrenschiff behind him, and shineythings behind and to your right. She peeled off and took front entering the target building.
"Room Clear!" verycleanteeth was next in, responding with
"The Intelligence is confirmed, this is the anterior entrance to the facility, Commander."
"Roger that, drop your packs here, we need to move quick and light. Blue Team hasn't responded since the operation began, we have to assume they're lost." Jewbacchus stated, shrugging off his heavy pack. "I want one forward, two back. verycleanteeth, you're with me. Let's move, people!"
You took point, your pack thrown into a pile with the CO's. Bringing your night scope up against your eye, you scanned the path ahead, checking each intersection. A pair of glowing white eyes stood out against the bland green of the rest of your scope and you took the shot, piercing the creature's head right between those luminescent orbs. Your shot seemed to trigger a seismic event, and an avalanche of urban materials fell behind you, sealing you off from the rest of your team. Pausing, you take a moment to chew nervously on your lower lip. The mission must be completed.

You are the Special Forces Team Sniper, at the discretion of the Commander, you carry out two night kills throughout the course of the game.

13) Special Forces Bodyguard - shineythings
-"Chopper! Take her down!" Commander Jewbacchus shouted, taking up a position forward. Narrenschiff fell to one knee in front of you, swinging the rocket launcher from his back while you matched this movement by pulling a rocket from your pack. Sliding it home into the launch tube, you tapped the man on the helmet and took up a position aft. The whistling blast was followed by a solid explosion in the distance, and the roar of the Commander. "Clean kill, keep moving!" You took up a position behind and to the right of Dismortis, the team sniper. As the group approached the target building, you darted through the door and scanned your surroundings before shouting;
"Room Clear!" verycleanteeth appeared in the doorway, and responded with "The Intelligence is confirmed, this is the anterior entrance to the facility, Commander."
"Roger that, drop your packs here, we need to move quick and light. Blue Team hasn't responded since the operation began, we have to assume they're lost." Jewbacchus stated, shrugging off his heavy pack. "I want one forward, two back. verycleanteeth, you're with me. Let's move, people!" Falling into position aside Narrenschiff, the two of you took a rear guard position, keeping the Commander and verycleanteeth in view ahead. A shot rang out far ahead, where the sniper had likely just made a kill, but it was dwarfed by the sudden sound of a cave in. Debris rained down before you and Narrenschiff, but left the two of you unharmed, if stranded from the rest of the team. As the higher ranked of the two of you, you quickly made a call.
"We'll double back to the entrance and wait for them before moving to the extraction point."

You are the Special Forces Enforcer and may block the actions of any one target per night at the discretion of the commander.

14) Special Forces Medic - verycleanteeth
-"Chopper!
You fell quickly into position behind and to the left of the commander, watching as shineythings darted into the target building, and on her announcement of "Room Clear!" following.
Let's move, people!" Rifle against your shoulder, you stuck close to the Commander's side as Dismortis took off to point and shineythings and Narrenschiff fell back to rear guard. A shot rang out from ahead, and you had no doubts that the sniper had just made a kill. Explosions rocked the sewer system, and you were thrown from off your feet. Both ahead and behind were sealed off, and only the Commander was still in the same chamber as you were.
"Orders, sir?" You questioned.
"Up." The Commander responded simply, pointing to where the only exit was a severed sewer pipe about four feet in diameter that lead up out of your small chamber at an upward angle.

You are the Special Forces Team Medic, and can heal any one target of their infection each night.

15) Special Forces Commando - Narrenschiff
-"Chopper! Take her down!" Commander Jewbacchus shouted, taking up a position forward. You quickly dropped to one knee and swung the familiar weight of the rocket launcher away from your back and onto your shoulder. You felt shineythings slide home the rocket in the launch tube and took aim, the kick of the rocket causing you to lose sight for a moment.
"Clean kill, keep moving!" The Commander confirmed, and you took position behind and to the left of verycleanteeth. shineythings darted into the target building, and on her announcement of "Room Clear!" verycleanteeth followed inside.
"The Intelligence is confirmed, this is the anterior entrance to the facility, Commander."
"Roger that, drop your packs here, we need to move quick and light. Blue Team hasn't responded since the operation began, we have to assume they're lost." Falling into position aside shineythings, the two of you took a rear guard position, keeping the Commander and verycleanteeth in view ahead. 16) UBCS Captain - foobar
-The vibrations of the drop plane's engines were making your ass fall asleep, and you didn't much appreciate it. The hours long flight was coming to a close, and the slapdash mercenary team in front of you was getting ready for the drop. You'd never met any of them before this, and doubted they'd last long enough for you to honestly care. Glancing at your list, you saw four names that meant nothing to you, eightysix, aliron, Context and gmg. The light above the bay doors clicked from red to green as they opened, signaling that the operation had begun. The four in front of you checked their parachutes one more time before leaping from the plane. Checking your handgun one last time, you followed them out.

You are the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service Captain, and possess a handgun allowing one night kill during the game.

-The trip on the rickety old cargo plane had taken hours, and they had never told you quite what to expect when you dropped, but there was no doubt that the massive amount of money they had promised you would be more than enough to dispel any fears you may have had. Gripping your assault rifle tight against your chest, you watched as the red light before you clicked green and the bay doors opened. Drawing in a deep breath, you ran out into the open dusk air.

You are the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service Investigator and may investigate any one target per night. When you investigate another UBCS member, they will be invited to the UBCS group.

You added to this statement;

You rolled over in bed, striking at your alarm clock lazily. Smacking your lips lazily, you looked up at the window with confusion. It was still dark, you couldn't have been asleep for more than a few hours.
Fwoom, fwoom, fwoom
Huh? That wasn't your alarm clock. You slid out of bed and looked out the window to a horrifying sight. It looked like the entire city was on fire. Something serious must have happened. Turning on the TV, you got nothing but snow on every channel. Beginning to panic, you threw on the clothes you'd been wearing the night before, In a moment of lucidity, you flipped on the radio.
"Anyone who hears this, head immediately to the Police Department, repeat, head immediately to the Police Department!" A burst of static accompanied the end of the statement. Grabbing a flashlight, you stumbled down your apartment stairs. The PD wasn't far, maybe someone could tell you what was happening.

Your next discovery came as you tried to stand, your legs refusing to support you. You used the sterile table you had been on before to pull yourself to your feet. You had no knowledge of where you were or how you had arrived there, but realized quickly that you were naked. Rifling through a set of nearby lockers, you found a set of ill fitting clothing. The lab surrounding you was completely empty and devoid of people, so you decided to chance the streets outside, which seemed equally bare.

The Saga of sythe's Pants

Both Narrenschiff and redemption tried to steal from sythe the first night, but redemption clocked in first, so I figured I'd have Narrenschiff steal his pants.

What I wasn't expecting was cb361 to steal from Narrenschiff the next night, but I figured I'd continue since Narren had nothing else to steal.

Then the third night, redemption stole from cb361, thus recieving the pants, and then was lynched.

I believe that big games of the sort preferred on SE favour the town because there is more time for the town to establish voting patterns. Lynch votes start out random on Day 1, but get progressively more accurate as the game goes on. There have been hardly any town losses since Sensible Howling, which only had fifteen players.

I think that future games need to find some way of balancing in favour of the scum, even if it looks unfairly in favour of the scum at the start of the game.

sythe said @ 8:02am GMT on 29th Mar
Well, we focused pretty hard on Umbrella (or at least I did). To be honest, I spent the first couple days believe there was only one person on your team and trying to figure out why some of you seemed to be grouping together in my head. I would have liked to have had one more day alive to work on that since we were pretty much done with Umbrella when they killed me.
theolypse said @ 8:13am GMT on 29th Mar
We had the advantage of knowing that the needle had to be Umbrella. And that there were a bunch of us. Trying to do much with only a theft and an investigation at night is rough, but finding STARS both the first nights was just terrible luck. An early Umbrella or UBCS bandwagon would have gotten us some credibility, but if we had ganged up on you or Todo, we'd all have been headed for the gallows

I seriously fucked up, re: snowfox, though. After I exploded at her, I knew I'd end up dead soon, and tried to go a bit further off my rocker to sow chaos and cut ties with the rest of the team. I'm not sure how much good that actually did, since cb had the poor fortune of coming out as my mouthpiece just before I died. In retrospect, I think that juju should have claimed investigations, pegged you or Todo accurately, and vouched for cb.

I'd still like to know who killed me, and why. I need to consider that information for the next game I play in.
