quote [ I think there was a pixel shortage that year ]
Our ship was sinking, and with it our hopes of crossing Wendy O. Koopa's inland sea.
Luckily, the old thing had a few lifeboats. It was odd that Bowser's foresight would help us like that. Still, there was no real way to propel them.
[mafia game] [by skainsmate@5:22pmGMT] [+9] We washed ashore on a small island possessing naught but a tree and an inactive pipe. Stranded. We made camp and settled in for the night. --- The morning dawned after a dreamless night. I felt a crushing fatigue. I must have slept. I must have. My first thought was to search for a body, but there was none. kishi found something interesting lodged in the tree, though. It was a massive hammer. It must have been hurled with some force, and it was far too big to have been wielded by a Hammer Bro. Sumo Bro. must have managed to stave off an attempt on his life last night. The large Citizen sleeps like a log, though. It was a stroke of luck that he was awake enough to defend himself. I returned to the problem at hand: how were we to escape this island? The lifeboats drifted inevitably back to its shores. "If I may be so bold, sir, I believe I may have a solution." macst34 held aloft a ? block. "I happen to still have some of the late Lemmy Koopa's stash." He tossed it into the air above my head. "Please, sir, you do the honors." I gave the block a good THWACK with my walking stick, and a beanstalk sprouted out of it. And so the Caravan spent an arduous two hours hauling their things up to the heavens. Toward Iggy Koopa's castle in the clouds. This may seem out of left field, but it's the only lead I got at the moment. I'm gunna vote for Ashura_Stephanos . Mainly this comment struck me wrong: Ashura_Stephanos said @ 5:54am on 7th Feb - moderate/reply Isn't revealing stuff like that after you're dead, y'know, bad? (Even if it was painfully obvious from the post) It was obvious Narren was dead, but still... He sounds like he was the guy who killed him and therefore was 100% positive Narren was already dead. |

Yessir. I considered not saying anything, but really if the baddies already know I might as well let everyone else know instead of waiting for my eventual death. But we'll see if that was a good decision or not. And if the motivation had anything to do with the fact that I said I'd be putting my list out there I might as well get that out in the open. |

Mainly because I'm just not sure that I believe you and I was hoping that your answer would shed some light. Skainsmate has been pretty good at making immunities "make sense" in the general Mario ethos and if yours didn't make sense... Catch-22 though unfortunately in the off chance that you are telling the truth. |

Frankly, I don't know how I could convince anyone. As I said a few days ago death is the only way I'd be willing to accept anyone else's non-koopa-dom, so I expect plenty of doubt. I think anyone who's been on my side in a special group knows I'm too cautious to do something rash like fake a role reveal when that role was still out there. Plus if everyone does end up not believing me there are several days for me to get my stuff all in order to post up here. Just in case any of it is useful once you guys confirmed the hard way that I'm not ballsy enough for this to be a fake-out Hollywood style. |

I want to posit that sythe is on the Koopa side, but I don't have time to back this up. I do know he's been a very vocal proponent of finding and lynching the ???, who's the only unknown factor that could prevent a Koopa victory. Since everything will take its due course in the game, the only thing that could upset his Koopa victory was the unknown factor. This could also explain why sythe, despite everything he's put out there, has not had an attempt on his life as of yet. I'll search for more evidence backing this up when I get more time. Out of the Koopa lynches, I can say off hand that Kamek, Mario (Jewbacchus) and Wendy O. were inevitable. |
|
juju
said @ 6:52pm GMT on 13th Feb
I don't know if I'd say that Kamek was inevitable without sythe's prodding, but that did occur before the recruit. I would be surprised if sythe wasn't a prime target for that, but I also want to believe that I'd actually be on the same side as him for once. Though I have a hard time the longer we go without an attempt on his life. |

Of course, I think that if claiming to be the Sumo Bro is a bluff, it's a really risky one that I doubt you'd make. Consider: - There is no evidence to support there being more than 1 of each role, barring Yoshi. Claiming to be the Sumo Bro if there is only one is very risky if the real Sumo Bro decides to reveal and cast doubt on juju's claim. - Although, logic would dictate that the Sumo Bro can only be a Bro if he has a Bro. Your disbelief at what you just read parallels my disbelief at what I just typed. I mean to say there could be 2+ Sumo Bros. - juju did not (and it's probably a good move) specify the specifics of her role, so she could obscure the fact that she could be a second Sumo Bro if one already exists (i.e, she's bluffing) But then, she can't specify her role in the interest of self-preservation, so there is no way to tell. I'm inclined to accept juju into my circle of confirmed citizens, but others might think otherwise. The only people who truly can know who juju is is juju herself and the Koopas. I've already resigned myself to simply being a buffer between the Koopas and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom. I might die so that another can live. |

I can guarantee you that I am neither a koopa nor a koopa recruit (though for the life of me I don't know why they didn't pick me). I have a very valid reason for my admittedly suspicious behavior this game which I will share if I must, but for my own protection I would rather not unless I absolutely have to. In the meantime, I've been doing some trolling through votes and this is a list of people I'm convinced are definitely NOT koopas (but could still be recruits I suppose): Breven, eightysix, macst34, Misanthrope, Stratafyre, TeDDD, theluckysean |

said @ 8:48am GMT on 14th Feb
At this point in the game, yes, it is. We've got no super specials left and the koopas already know who is and is not a koopa. Being able to form a large voting block of relatively trustworthy people would be of great benefit and basically no risk. Me just sitting on these theories won't get the town anywhere. |

I would say I couldn't come to a conclusion on several of those, either because of lack of information or not finding the voting records that conclusive, but obviously eightysix is included since he was cleared by Luigi. I'd add in gmg as one I'm convinced on. Strat is definitely up there as well. To be honest I'm not much further in completing my list now than I was when I said I'd post it, but that's been lack of motivation. Now that I almost died in the night I'm more motivated. To the point where I need to be up in 3 hours but I can't seem to turn off the computer... |
