Zelgius, because I wanted totest him yesterday and didn't get to. Also, Assbastard has been more quiet than usual this game. Sure, he was loud as Chewy in Jedi, but I never trust anyone quiet. Maybe he's all hairy and shaggy again here. |

Actually, I'll stay will Misanthrope , however, I assume he's innocent. I want to try Shiney Things because in a sense this might test both Redemption and Nick. If Shiney Things is innocent, we know nothing, but then I feel just as impassionate about Zelgius being innocent too. If Shiney Things is a wolf, then it doesn't mean that Nick and Redemption are wolves, but it may lead to some more interesting conclusions. |

I'm going from Misanthrope to Shiney Things. It does seem that mostly untested seemed to vote first for the bandwagon starting. Though I still don't trust Nick. Well, Nick says redemption is innocent. And redemption claims to be following hunches. Anytime a confirmed innocent talks about hunches, I assume they have special powers. So I'm voting for Zelgius and Misanthrope. |

I can see the logic in voting for Zelgius, as he narrowly escaped the testing wand yesterday. I can't see where this bandwagon for Misanthrope has come from though, and if he's innocent I suspect lupine guidance. My second vote is for TheCooler, who seems to have been fairly quiet as of late. |

I'm willing to go with the infection-theory, so I'm not really sure if I trust Nick at this point anymore. He got tested back in Day 3, so for all we know he could've become a wolf any night after that, and his list of Innocents might contain one or more wolves. |

additionally in past games, the baddie leader has been immune to investigation. we have to remember that nicks list is not fool proof. because there is no risk of killing innocents, it would be unwise not to retest the people nick tested. at the very least those who we ourselves have not tested. |

Although I don't necessarily doubt Nick's word... Assuming the infection theory is correct (so we are assuming a lot), if infected I'd bet you keep whatever power you had. Nick revealed the day after he was confirmed innocent, which makes sense because then people would trust him. However, if the infection theory is right, he might have been confirmed town that day, and then bitten that night. This is all speculation, but since we don't know anything for sure I'm wary to try to believe something. I realize he verified me as innocent, which I am, and if anyone doubts it they can check me, but it's a waste. I just don't think we should assume anything. |

Well, I'm surprised to be alive today. I thought for certain that night kills would begin last night under the full moon. And in more evidence of my hunches being shit, redemption is innocent. Though I did get a highly erotic PM from VictorTyne describing me spying on the lovely masseuse. ;) So, I'm looking for opinions (from confirmed innocents only, please, no offence to the untested but I don't want to be led astray) on whom I should track tonight. |

Alrighty. Since game-related activity seems pretty low today, I figured I'd ask which have been everyone's favorite mafia games this past year. My favorites: Best Setting - Sensible Spacestation The whole steam-driven space journey thing was a lot of fun. I liked getting in character in that setting. Strongest Powerplay - Sensible Hollywood Context pretending to be a paparazzo after both died secured the win for his team. Gambits like this help encourage healthy paranoia and distrust in games long after they've been executed. The fake PM from Narrenschiff in Sensible Jedi took similar balls and helped his team recover from the early loss of Mara Jade, but ultimately lacked the game-winning power of Context's earlier bluff. Most Dramatic Endgame - Sensible Seamen The tension mounted throughout the game as the Deep Ones- err, I mean, the Poseidon worshipers- began their feud with the Pirates, the Cap'n betrayed the GM but gave his loyal crewmembers a fighting chance through overly-complex voting, and the disgruntled first mate destroyed a mast and left a dire warning in flames on the deck. I sort of accidentally kind of got us all blown to smithereens by bandwagoning him, and an unconscious Cap'n was dragged into the lifeboat. The final incorrect lynch countered by a dramatic gunshot... all of this together managed to edge Sensible Seamen past its main competition for most dramatic ending: Sensible Howling. Most Engrossing Story - Sensible Innsmouth I wasn't too excited about a Cthulu-based mafia game, until it started. Then I became part of something was just as much art as leisure. The addition of riddles and items to the gameplay helped to propel it in my mind to: Best Sensible Mafia Game of 2007 - Sensible Innsmouth |

To be honest, I haven't been keeping too much track of games I wasn't in. Funniest Running Joke - Sensible Jedi Laughs were had by Sith and observering parties alike as the Jedi went on a murderous rampage, massacring the very townspeople they were supposed to be protecting Strongest Powerplay - Sensible Mafia For sheer balls, it has to go to VictorTyne turning in one of his own to gain the town's trust Biggest Idiot - -1 Overrated Yes, it's those twats who come into mafia games and downmod them without realising that you can just filter the bloody things if you don't like them. Best Sensible Mafia Game of 2007 - Sensible Howling The original, and in my mind the best. "Funniest Running Joke - Sensible Jedi Laughs were had by Sith and observering parties alike as the Jedi went on a murderous rampage, massacring the very townspeople they were supposed to be protecting" To be fair, I'd like to know how that's any different from 90% of vigilantes in this game. |

Oh no, I didn't mean it like that. Vigilantes are going to get it wrong more often than right, and we shouldn't expect the Jedi to have done any better. I think people just found it funny as the supposedly just and honourable Jedi were cast in a role that involved wandering the town and murdering anyone who looked at them the wrong way. |

Of the one I have played: Best Setting - Inns Only because the settings of games I have been in haven't really been all that involved. Strongest Powerplay - Sensible Crossfire I think this is the one someone pretended to be an investigator ... or was that ... hollywood ... I dont remember. Most Dramatic Endgame - Sensible Seamen I agree with this entirely. I would definitely have said howling if I had played in it though ... just somethin bout the first close thing that you never forget. Most Engrossing Story - Sensible Innsmouth The writing in this was magnificent, nuff said Best Sensible Mafia Game of 2007 - Sensible Howling (seamen) I loved watching howling, but the best one i actually played was seamen. The splodey was extraordinary. I feel like the category for Best game play and Best player need to be mentioned. I also feel like this should be a separate post instead of a diversion of this game. |

Best Ending - Sensible Howling No comments necessary. There's a reason we have "Total Bastards." Best Use of Superlative Information - Sensible Innsmouth For a game where the best item, the Cryptonomicon, didn't come into play, the daily puzzles were as much a highlight as the writing. eightysix should be rightfully commended for the level and detail he put into each days' puzzles. Most Oustanding Meltdown - CapnSilver, GM of Sensible Sopranos Internet yelling? Check. Hate Hate Hate? Check. Making a post to ask if people should be removed from the game? Check. Loituma?
