Sensible Jedi The End

quote [ Learn the history of the Jedi and their enemies—from the most ancient battles of light versus darkness chronicled within the recesses of long-lost Holocrons to more contemporary conflagrations recounted by heroes such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Leia Organa Solo. Discover the myriad ways to contemplate and use the Force, wield a lightsaber through different forms of combat, and for the truly brave, tread the path of the dark side and study the secrets of the Sith. ]

Day 11: The fall

Thirdspango, the last Jedi, along with Theluckysean, the last Noghri, grabbed Defiancefalcon by his collar. The other 5 townspeople stood with Lando in astonishment. On day four no Sith had been killed, with the exception of the emperor's hand (who just as well could have been town if there was an earlier defeat of the emperor). By day seven, the chances of a town win were bleak, with the ratio of Sith to town nearly at 1:1.5, down from the beginning number of 1:2.5. Finally however, the town began to hit their stride, lynching three sith in the last four days. Defiance falcon was indeed Revan, now sent by the town for execution.

Revan was brought to the council hall in the middle of the city where everyone had met on the first day. Lando: "You have been charged with the conspiracy of overthrowing Nomad City. You have been found guilty and will be executed promptly."

"Wait!" shouted Revan. He was easily able to break free from the grips of the weakened Noghri and the weakest of the Jedi. He did not run. "Please, give me a chance to redeem myself, I am unlike the other Sith, and would like a chance to prove it."

Lando walked up to Revan, wresting his hand on Revan's shoulder. "My Friend," he paused a second, "this is not possible." Lando quickly reached for his blaster and fired a shot through Revan's forehead. The shot left a clear whole, one could see straight through to the other side. Revan, after wavering on his feet, fell over backwards - dead.

The town, who hardly had time to sit down, got up from there chairs and applauded. It seems the town had grown used to such senseless death. Wren the last remaining clone, was congratulated on her analysis work and was allowed to remain among the Nomad community as one of their own. King Leonidas the bum who was very silently due to his constant intoxication, was the only normal member of town left. Juju, Justus, and Zelgius were all Jedi in training, or, town members with high midi-chlorians.

Zelgius came to Lando with his financial report, "Sir, despite the despair this town has felt over the past 10 days, Nomad City has managed to rake in a major profit, over 10 billion credits."

Juju the journalist was the next to come to Lando, "Sir, I thank you for allowing me to document the events over the past 10 days, and will be happy to share the news of your greatness with the entire world."

Last, Justus stepped forward to Lando. "Sir, I am ready to transport everyone out of here as soon as you are ready."

Lando gave the command and everyone went into Justus's transport ship, but not before Lando was able to hit the hour-long self-destruct mechanism. All were aboard Justus's ship and just about to enter light-speed when a giant explosion on the planet Nkllon occurred behind them. The view of this magnificent explosion was soon replaced with star-lines as the ship steadily gained speed and was off to some other distant planet where Lando could live off his newly acquired fortune.

The Town Wins

OOC: I would like to congratulate everyone, and thank everyone who made this game possible by remaining so attentive all the way through the end. The fact that I personally killed off so few people truly shows me your eagerness to participate, and I thank everyone for playing. We were able to finish before (American) thanksgiving, which is great, but I happen to have to write a report today so I can't write too much more. I will certainly make a few comments later about how the game went and what I would have one differently. Again, I am pretty busy tonight, but will try to answer individual questions. I will most likely make a follow up post with my thoughts on the game.

Free karma for running a game I lived to the end of. <3

Thank you and gmg very much for running the game; I feel confident in saying a good time was had by all.
juju said @ 3:30pm GMT on 19th Nov
Woohoo! I'm on the winning side for once!
And it's good to know that someone I had been going for since late day 6 ended up being a right target. Especially given all my fuck-up-ery with bad guys on my trusted list.

*sigh*... I know. I think people are still sore about the bamboozling from Hollywood. I'd been laying low in every other game, and it did pay off, but I seem to have borrowed kishi's red shirt.

I was wondering who spilled all that beer on it.

Thanks for stopping by! Sorry about that mental retardation, must be a bitch to deal with, what with your inability to grasp simple concepts like the Mafia games that have been running for quite some time now.

Have fun at Digg! (Though you sound more like someone who comments on YouTube... you should check it out).

And thus through my silence I have survived but subsequently ruined my ability to be outspoken in any later mafia games.
skainsmate said @ 8:05pm GMT on 19th Nov
I'd rather be vocal and die in service to my team than silent and useless.

And, let's be honest, silence ruins these games.

But <3 anyway.

I'd also really love to know what it was that I did that seemed to tip off the "hunch meter" of all you sith-folk
Ashura_Stephanos said @ 9:07am GMT on 20th Nov
It was a good run. I'm also amused to know that the Jedi knew who I was a night in advance and saved me for the next night's kill to redeem their status with the town, unless I misinterpreted all that.
ThirdSpango said @ 10:12am GMT on 20th Nov
Well, saved you is pushing it. If we'd tried to organize a lynch no-one would have followed us.
Ashura_Stephanos said @ 11:20am GMT on 20th Nov
Really? Seemed like the mob followed whoever got more than 2 votes off the bat pretty quickly for the most part.
thumble said @ 9:58pm GMT on 19th Nov
What an incredible turnaround! Around the time I died I honestly thought we Sith had an unassailable lead! I mean it really felt like we had a head start on everyone else. If the emperor's hand hadn't died on day one we probably could've taken this game down pretty quickly, but I think long games make collaborators more and more obvious.

Anyway, good game, well run and well played by all.
juju said @ 1:20am GMT on 20th Nov
Yeah, it was a nail-biter in the middle there. Made for a pretty entertaining game. Nice job by the sith on a lot of fronts, I can't wait til I have the time to read the forums.

theluckysean said @ 2:50am GMT on 20th Nov
This was my first SE mafia game, and I was a little quiet but it was damn fun - I would love to play a sensible sunnydale or something else along those lines if they start up. I'm glad I lived to the end, I think my general clumsyness and intentional release of information saved me somehow. Great job town.
ThirdSpango said @ 10:21am GMT on 20th Nov
I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed that. I was edified to see that the Sith did not raise my name in suspicion once; being crazy-busy has it's plus points. Also, my night -kill for the last night was Justus, who the /sith also seemed to be gunning for, I got a kick out of that.

Snowfox; sorry for being so rude in "for the reveal", I was a tad stressed. In retrospect I think that some of that overbearingness was tactics, but still, sometimes it's okay if it isn't the Snowfox-show.

Zelgius; Sorry for trying to lynch you so hard.
Ashura_Stephanos said @ 11:22am GMT on 20th Nov
Great game, I'll have to show up again for some of the later ones.
I found it amusing that I got one of the most fun roles in my first ever tiem with the game :D
LoC said @ 11:56am GMT on 20th Nov
Aww, the sith wanted to kill me 'cuz they thought I was all smart 'n stuff even though they knew I was town, that makes me feel a bit better.
And I *knew* that after the jedi killed me that eightysix was jedi. Too late I realized my mistake. I knew he was special, I just picked the wrong one.
juju said @ 12:19pm GMT on 20th Nov
After reading some of the forums, I feel like I have to apologize to the jedi, you're right, I should have kept my mouth shut on some of those things. I apparently forgot at times that my previous experience consisted of just finding who was special who wasn't on my team, and I didn't have to analyze whether they were good or bad. At least I know I had a fairly good radar for special roles.

Oh well, I think the main reason the town won at the end was the open sharing of why certain town members were probably clear.
