The weekend's protesters have a serious message. Full text in extended.
THE KENNEBUNKPORT WARNING
[politics] [by nuggler@8:32amGMT] [+5] To the American people, and to peace loving individuals everywhere: Massive evidence has come to our attention which shows that the backers, controllers, and allies of Vice President Dick Cheney are determined to orchestrate and manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident, and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin war provocation over the coming weeks and months. Such events would be used by the Bush administration as a pretext for launching an aggressive war against Iran, quite possibly with nuclear weapons, and for imposing a regime of martial law here in the United States. We call on the House of Representatives to proceed immediately to the impeachment of Cheney, as an urgent measure for avoiding a wider and more catastrophic war. Once impeachment has begun, it will be easier for loyal and patriotic military officers to refuse illegal orders coming from the Cheney faction. We solemnly warn the people of the world that any terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction taking place inside the United States or elsewhere in the immediate future must be considered the prima facie responsibility of the Cheney faction. We urge responsible political leaders everywhere to begin at once to inoculate the public opinion of their countries against such a threatened false flag terror operation. (Signed) A Group of US Opposition Political Leaders Gathered in Protest at the Bush Compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, August 24-25, 2007 CYNTHIA MCKINNEY, FORMER US CONGRESSWOMAN, GEORGIA CINDY SHEEHAN, CANDIDATE FOR US CONGRESS, CALIFORNIA CRAIG HILL, CANDIDATE FOR US CONGRESS, VERMONT GREEN PARTY BRUCE MARSHALL, CONVENOR, PHILADELPHIA PLATFORM JAMILLA EL-SHAFEI, KENNEBUNK PEACE DEPARTMENT WEBSTER G. I can imagine a Gulf of Tonkin type of action against Iran. But I'm sorry -- manufacturing an apparent terrorist attack inside our own country? Come on. Conspiracies are fun, but that's just bunk. And I'm saying this as a vocal lefty. The administration has done a lot of bad, but it would never authorize that. |

All they really have to do is arrest a few people, plant evidence of a planned attack, and declare martial law. The attack doesn't have to actually happen and no one has to die. Bush can become emperor at the stroke of a pen, so whats to stop them? |

It was never attempted, and the plans STILL leaked. That's the point. You can't pull of shit like that without immediately showing your hand. |

Reichstag: proof exists of a conspiracy Operation Northwoods: Never happened, so it's not relevant PNAC: Operated openly as a "think tank" of neoconservatives. How is this a conspiracy? Pearl Harbor: The only thing that can be "proven" about a conspiracy is that nothing was done to prevent it, and FDR wanted us in the war. |

Pearl Harbor: The only thing that can be "proven" about a conspiracy is that nothing was done to prevent it, and FDR wanted us in the war. So you're saying that the president and his advisors knew of an incoming attack and allowed over 2000 people to be killed all so we could become involved in a war? 1. No American president would ever allow that! 2. I don't see what this has to do with 9/11. 3. What are you some kind of conspiracy nut? <3 |
|
revchoppy
said @ 3:46am GMT on 28th Aug
all <3 aside, I was responding to his point. And, please note that the word proven was italicized. Just like the only thing that can be "proven" about a 9/11 conspiracy is that Bush had prior knowledge and allowed it to happen. But, controlled demolitions and cruise missiles? Nope. No evidence exists for it, and there is no proof that it happened that way. There is conjecture and misinterpreted evidence. |
|
steele.ero
said @ 5:13am GMT on 28th Aug
Actually, it's been proven that FDR and his advisors all had previous knowledge of the date and location of the incoming attack, from various sources, internal and international. Sure it only took 40 years for the truth to come to light, but it did eventually come out. I don't agree with the cruise missiles stuff, but unfortunately all possible evidence regarding the destruction of the towers were quickly destroyed. I'll be curious as to what information comes to light 40 years from now. If we last that long, of course. |
|
revchoppy
said @ 6:38am GMT on 28th Aug
Well, that's kind of my point, and I do think it's plausible (but have no proof, of course) that Bush and company knew about the attacks and allowed them to happen. But that's quite a stretch from active involvement through controlled demolition, etc. It's just not plausible, and it would have left plenty of witnesses and evidence that would have come to light. |

The 911 terrorists were so successful that they have caused the US government to establish a siege mentality in the country such that government officials, police, border guards etc., have become the psuedo terrorists, and have put the government on the road to dictatorship. Although it should be noted that once elected the president has always been a quasi dictator, albeit subject to very few controls. The US is lined up now for implosion as the population begins to takes sides against one another, hence, another civil war will break out. |
