There's gonna be a new star trek.
Supreme_Coconut said @ 12:05am GMT on 27th Apr
Dear God, why?
Nostrildamus said @ 12:38am GMT on 27th Apr
Money.

But it doesn't have starbuck in it, and if it doesn't have starbuck in it, I don't give a shit!

I heard he's converting SE to a Tilda Swinton fansite.

I am a dork. I will watch show. *sigh*
Melisa said @ 1:32am GMT on 27th Apr [Score:1 Insightful]
?? why would only dorks watch the show...

In fact I think Battlestar is one of the first new sci-fi shows in a while that has broken out of the 'nerd' barrier
Shirobake said @ 1:54am GMT on 27th Apr
I'm a dork, and I loved Star Trek, but hated Babylon 5...so maybe that makes me like, a dork with standards?
banksr0 said @ 2:25am GMT on 27th Apr
Yeah. Low standards ;)
Supreme_Coconut said @ 10:50am GMT on 27th Apr
Misplaced standards.

I was being facetious.

The synopsis didn't excite me. Battlestar Galactica is way cool, but I'm not so sure the premise for this new one is a winner. Meh, I'll reserve judgement 'til it arrives.
banksr0 said @ 2:26am GMT on 27th Apr
I agree. Someone on /. suggested a "Battlestar: Pegasus" series - that could have been cool.
elbandito said @ 2:04am GMT on 27th Apr
bah, the last ep of S2 of BSG sucked fat cocks.
matt said @ 2:35am GMT on 27th Apr
I dunno, I liked it. It certainly set up some interesting new themes for use in the next series.
Hardtarget said @ 10:59am GMT on 27th Apr
exactly, I'm extremely excited for season 3. Some real cool ideas were woven into the last few minutes of sesaon 2.

Also Fat Apollo is the funniest thing ever.
elbandito said @ 2:51pm GMT on 27th Apr
They had all better get their asses back up into space and start having adventures and shit. I don't want to watch a show where machines have enslaved mankind in a city made of tents. I want colonial vipers and cylons and shit like that... :/
FrankenBlog said @ 5:43am GMT on 27th Apr
I don't know how I feel about this.
Phyctup said @ 6:10am GMT on 27th Apr
I don't know how you feel about it either but I do know how I feel about it.....

I just hope this doens't make Battlestar less good

I wouldn't worry about that, they couldn't make it less good if the tried, the current series is like watching the OC in space. Not a patch on the original.
FrankenBlog said @ 6:18am GMT on 27th Apr
Now that's just insulting. The Original Battlestar is poop in comparison to the new series.
matt said @ 6:39am GMT on 27th Apr
Woa. I'd say the traditional "gimme some of what you're on", but if the drugs you're taking make you think that camped up tragedy original series is even comparable to the current one, then I think I'll abstain.
Phyctup said @ 8:25am GMT on 27th Apr
To be honest, I haven't watched that many of the latest BSG, I watched the first couple of shows but just couldn't get into it. The creators seemed to have missed the point - Like I'm intererested in the tedious neurotic psychobable of the central characters vacuous perfect-cheekboned lives, what I'm interested in is ZAPPING CYLONS! PEW! KABLAM! ZOWWWEE!

I also have fond childhood memories of the original series. It's a bit Like Doctor Who. The latest series is superior in many ways not least in the amount of money being spent on special effects but that doesn't stop Tom Baker being god.
Hardtarget said @ 11:01am GMT on 27th Apr
uhh... i'm not sure what show you were watching but it sure doens't soundl ike the new battlestar. Did you ever watch the miniseries?
BigJuiceMan said @ 8:50am GMT on 27th Apr
I just have one simple suggestion to the BSG and the BSG-C writers...fewer stories that involve talking and folk's feelings...more stories that involve shootin' and blowin' shit up.
Phyctup said @ 9:19am GMT on 27th Apr
Amen to that!
