[games] [by Equinophobe@7:16pmGMT] [+9 Good] Also, i thought this wiki entry was very cool: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll aaaand here is some porn. It's related to a post a few down, but--in my defense--the page he provided sucked ass and didnt have them all. WARNING this flux is deceptivly large. add http://www.adult-website-promotion.biz/Videos/ make get yeah. no one of the three was worth a full post, in my opinion. all three, together--i think--is worth a point or two... |

I played it, got pretty far, then I forgot to do something important and the game was unbeatable. I hated that. |

Yeah! I spend many an hour of my youth avoiding the sandworms. I hated that I needed the manual at arms reach all the time though. |

We touched base on that in another thread. Though, I loved playing Dune and Dune 2 when they were new. |

I still remember a game I played on a Mac years ago... Crystal Crazy. That was a great game. I can find a copy of it, but alas, it is apple only! *sob* |

Ok. Ask SE time. There was a game that came out a while ago (96 I think) that was a shooter from the overhead perspective. I think it was an Apogee game. You were this grunt who ran around and could toss grenades and there was multi-level areas and multiplayer. |

that really sounds like an older port of the capcom game Commando, a variant of Ikari Warriors or vice versa. or is this more 3D top down when you say multi level |

It's close to 3d. It's high res VGA stuff. Like Duke3D-era graphics. |

If it's not Cannon Fodder it may be Chaos Engine. Only game that I'd describe as "Gauntlet with guns". |

windows games should be boot-able cd/dvd's that call only drivers needed for the game and a scaled down main kernel much like liveCD's , only win or . someone should make dos on crack to run games from command prompt. dedicating all your resources to what you have running. this would help noobs with 500 processes running in their back ground , and 60 icons next to their clock. they could play the game with full system resources available . and then reboot back into their gator infested dick spam utopia of aol coolweb grabass. DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS files=30 buffers=20,2 DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\ANSI.SYS hurray more beer |

It's a nice idea, but the problem you have with this sort of setup is that as soon as it's released, it's out of date. In the PC market, new hardware comes out so frequently that any bootable game would have a life of 6-12 months before it would become unplayable on any number of systems with newer parts that it doesn't have drivers for since they weren't written when it shipped. |

R.I.P. Klerck It's weird, but I checked through the wiki on trolling to see if he was properly credited... Glad to see he's used as an illustration and has a link to his own wiki page... He was actually a nice guy and probably the inspiration for the "call for help" paragraph about why people troll... He was gay and going through the whole teenage thing when it started... And he trolled the world with the Two Towers petition :-) |
