Kind of a depressing top story, but well done. I would have hesitated, worried people would take it poorly, but you did a good job of capturing the site honestly.

Behind Matt selling the site to Saint Marck, it's probably one of the biggest events in SE's history, and I think it would have been in poorer taste not to remember Trigorin in print.

this is the only time someone died on here? i am not questioning it, i am just curious. or possibly the only one we know of. but this is pretty cool. daily erection - teh title made me laugh

As someone else said, it's possible other people who've just vanished have died or some ill has befallen them. It's the problem with the net. If somebody just stops appearing, you don't know what's happened unless they are of some note or somebody else tells you.

Additionally, SE has a mostly quite young demographic, and the number of regular posters is relatively small, so we should expect deaths to be quite rare.

I actually sat with my cursor over the post button for a bloody long time because I thought I'd get loads of people accuse me of karma whoring.
It's just a bit of fun from one of many random thoughts that pop into my head during the day. I just happened to have photoshop open when this one happened.
