This is indeed crazy, even by furry standards. Funny though.

Wierdos like this aside, I've always thought about anime otakus and furries as kind of an alternative to religion. All are disappointed with the real world in comparison to the beautiful world inside their own head, and try to bring the two as close together as possible. Odd as they might be, otakus and furries are still nothing compared to religious people who take their thing too far.

The christian otakus and furries complicate my theory somewhat, though.
