The Rules of the Game
Whodunit?
At start of day one each player receives three ‘Cards’, a character (viewable by all), a weapon, and the room in which the player began the game. Someone has not survived the first night in the hall, and a killer walks among you.
Players must use the process of elimination to determine who the killer is. Each night every player can ask me to reveal to them another player’s weapon, or learn which room they started in. The killer will be a player who no longer has a weapon. Players are not allowed to reveal the results of their questioning within game threads, nor are they allowed to reveal their own starting room or weapon. No players can message other players outside of the game unless they are part of the Mafia Group. ‘Cards’ (weapon and room) will be revealed on death. i.e ‘On examination of the body, a small length of rope was found hidden inside Miss Scarlet’s coat lining. Her other belongings were found where she had left them in the Library.’
Once per day a player may send a PM to me detailing their guess as to who is the killer, for example ‘Mrs Peacock, in the library, with the candlestick.’ Though the killer will no longer be in possession of the weapon used, players must still by process of elimination make a correct guess as to what she used to kill the victim. A player who guesses all three elements correctly will be confirmed and can reveal their findings immediately. If you receive no reply, you were incorrect.
Town cannot win while the killer is at large. Until such time as the initial crime is solved, the killer will evade lynches and night-kills. The only other person who can reveal the identity of the killer is the investigator, upon a successful reading. If a player works out who the killer is based on their results, i.e ‘Miss Violet has no weapon’ they are not able to share this within the day threads but must continue to work on the puzzle in order to vanquish her. The killer will strike again every night until the first murder is solved, for game purposes he functions as a Serial Killer.
But there’s more...
Lured by the promise of valuable plunder and a priceless discovery, a group of shady figures have wrangled or stolen invitations to the festivities. They will stop at nothing to get what they have come for, and woe betide any guest who gets in their way. The best of these criminals will be someone you would swear to be no more dangerous than a kitten- but be warned, this kitten will scratch. You may have heard such a mastermind called by the name Godfather.
Be advised, when a Mafioso uses their kill ability there is a small chance that the weapon is lost at the scene. If this happens, that Mafioso is unable to carry out further night kills.
Other Special Roles:
Investigators- There will be those who are able to use their sleuthing skills to keep watch on guests during the nights. But be careful, one always seems to jump to the wrong conclusions.
Doctor- The Doctor will always try to put his skills to use in keeping his fellow guests healthy and hale, if he can be in the right place at the right time.
Vigilante - The Vigilante is driven by a sense of justice and righteousness. He is happy to take the law into his own hands to take out any threats to innocents, though his aim is fallible.
Moving Right Along...
In this game, where you are may prove as important as who you lynch. Each evening you will need to let me know in which room you intend to begin the following day. People who use actions during the night phase will have to start the game no more than one room away from the room in which their action occurred, if it occurred on the ground floor. N.B Rooms connected via secret passages (e.g Lounge/Conservatory, Study/Kitchen) count as one room away. All bedrooms are on the above floors, and those who do not have night actions are judged to stay in them throughout the night phase. Mafia and Serial killers will dispose of any bodies in the ground floor rooms.

There were things that went thump in the night. It was clear from the red eyes and dark under-eye circles on the guests that many had been awake to hear them, but had not dared leave their rooms to offer assistance. Who was unlucky enough to have caught the attention of the killers?
It would not be long before they found out.
Monsieur Vermilion was found in the Library, it appeared he had been beaten to death with his own Candlestick, the pair of which was found in his luggage in the Kitchen. From the inscription visible on the bases the guests were able to ascertain he had been a highly decorated agent with the Direction du Renseignement Militaire, on assignment to view Mr. Black’s invention and possibly procure it. Though it was a shame he had not been guilty of any murders here, at least the Insubstantiator would not be falling into French hands.
The kitchen was the final resting place for Signor Azzuro, who met a grisly end via unknown means. On his person was found a length of Piano Wire, still in its packet. The rest of his belongings were found in the Billiard Room, along with items that revealed he had been a philanthropist with considerable wealth at his disposal. It seemed the adage that No Good Deed Goes Unpunished was very true in his case.
Unfortunately the events of the last four days had become too much for Mr. Russet to bear. “I can’t take this anymore, I can’t sleep, there’s nothing to eat except dried spices and you’re all insane! None of us are getting out of here alive, don’t you see?! It’s hopeless, utterly hopeless!!”
And with that he drew a Cleaver from his coat pocket and before anyone could move he struck it soundly into the side of his neck, spurting blood everywhere and over some of the other guests. He emitted a few more glubs and gurgled breaths before collapsing onto his knees and then the floor. The guests fled the room in terror, only managing the nerve to find his belongings later in the morning. They were found in the Conservatory, along with documentation and ID badges revealing him to have been an agent with Mossad.
Three more bodies, and no killers among them. The fact that none of them had been English was a small consolation indeed.
The day was slipping by. Grimly the guests set about tidying away the bodies, and considering who next to add to the pile.

NOTE ON GAMEPLAY
I have noticed a disturbing amount of commentary that involves personal attacks and insults that go well outside the game. This is first and foremost a social diversion, and when players ask me to remove them because they are not having any fun it tars the experience for me as well.
This game is for all players, and I expect everyone to treat others how they want to be treated. Everyone is playing a part, so please separate role from player and keep your posts within the game.
TL/DR: Don’t make me come down there, if you kids can’t play nice I’m taking your playstation.

Agree - I haven't really done anything to exonerate me, or to incriminate me either, which leaves me pretty much up there with the rest of the unknowns.
And it's a good mentality to be distrusting in this game. I do trust both you and snowfox though, and I'm reasonably certain lilmookieesquire is telling the truth too, and have good enough reasons to do so. And I'm defensive probably because I've been telling you guys cb361 was SK from the get go and promptly got lumped into the kill-pool.
The comment was mainly to put everything a bit in perspective. I wouldn't hold as much value as a body dropped next to a person who you knew would be there than as a body dropped next to some other person.
Anyway tomorrow will be better, and I have some theories and hopefully some solid contributions to the town then. Just haven't been able to focus as much today due to unholy deadlines (just finishing an 18 hour shift right now :( )
